Becoming Romance Rewards member
Complete the online Application Form to become a member. After receiving and processing your application, a Romance Rewards Card will be issued with your Membership ID Number, and mailed within 30 days.

General Terms and Conditions
Only one Romance Rewards Member may accrue Nights Stayed at a participating Couples Resort. (Benefits will only be awarded to 1 person per room.)

Nights Stayed will not be accrued during Complimentary or Secret Rendezvous stays. Anyone traveling on discounted rates will not be eligible to receive any  Romance Rewards benefits or accrual of nights.

Romance Rewards benefit levels are maintained provided member stays at a participating Couples Resort at least 7 nights during the course of two consecutive calendar years.  Failure to stay at least 7 nights during the course of two consecutive calendar years will result in member account being dropped to the next lower level.  All member benefits will expire if there is no activity within three calendar years.

Nights Stayed values or statements printed in error will be corrected by Couples Resorts. Nights Stayed that do not appear on your most recent online account statement will be reflected on a future online account statement. You must apply for adjustments and retroactive credits within 90 days of the checkout date of the resort stay in question. Nights Stayed will not be credited to a Member’s account until full payment for the stay is made and the Member has completed his/her stay.

It is the guests’ responsibility to ensure that the nights earned are properly credited to your account. If you have a query regarding nights earned but not properly credited, you may be required to submit documentation or other proof (which may include copies of hotel vouchers, invoices and payment receipts) to our Couples Resorts’ Romance Rewards Department within 90 days after the nights were earned. If Couples Resorts denies a Nights Stayed accrual or membership benefit, our liability is limited to the correct posting of Nights Stayed to your account.

Special offers, promotions or discounts will not be valid, and Romance Rewards ™ nights, awards certificates or other Program benefits cannot be earned or redeemed at any property which is no longer a part of the Couples Resorts Group or discontinues its participation in the Program.

Privacy Policy
The information provided on your application form is for our internal use only for the booking of reservations, accrual and redemption of Nights Stayed and to communicate with Members. Members who furnish us with email and physical address may receive future communication about the Program by both medium. Members who do not wish to receive these communications should notify our Couples Romance Rewards Department by phone, fax, or email. Couples Resorts will not give, rent, lend or sell information on its database to any outside entity or organization.

General Membership Rules
Couples Resorts have the right to change the Program rules, processes, regulations, travel or other awards, and special offers at any time, with or without notice. This means that changes may be initiated that affect, but are not limited to, partner affiliations, rules for earning Nights Stayed, Nights Stayed redemption levels required for specific awards, rules for the use of awards, continued availability of awards, award inventory, award types, and certain features of special offers. The accumulation of Nights Stayed does not entitle Members to any vested rights with respect to any awards or Program benefits. Couples Resorts reserves the right to terminate the entire Program with six months advance notice to all Members, and immediately upon notice to all Members in the case of a termination relating to the substitution of a similar substantially replacement program. All Nights Stayed unredeemed as of the conclusion of the six-month notice period shall be forfeited to Couples Resorts without remuneration or any further obligation or liability, and no award claims shall be honored thereafter.

Membership in the Program is free and is available only to individuals residing in countries that legally permit participation in frequent stay programs. Employees of Couples Resorts or any of its subsidiaries and affiliates are not eligible to participate in the Program except for specially designated employee incentive programs. Travel agents and travel industry professionals booking at industry discount rates are not eligible to participate in the Program. Participation in the Program is void where prohibited.

Fraud or abuse concerning Nights Stayed or benefits usage and membership privileges and benefits is subject to appropriate administrative and/or legal action by Couples Resorts, including the forfeiture of accumulated Nights Stayed, the termination of membership privileges, and revocation of membership. In addition, Couples Resorts reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to immediately discontinue a membership in the Program, and terminate the Member’s account, if a Member acts in a manner inconsistent with local, state, or federal laws or ordinances or in a fraudulent or abusive manner; otherwise misuses the benefits of membership; or fails to pay any valid bill or account when due to Couples Resorts or affiliates. Nothing contained in these Rules shall limit Couples Resorts in the exercise of any legal or equitable rights or remedies.

Neither Couples Resorts nor its Program partners are responsible for requests or correspondence lost or delayed in the mail. Couples Resorts is not responsible for, and reserves the right to correct, any pricing or typographical errors, errors of description, or errors regarding participating properties and partners.

Each Member is responsible for advising the Romance Rewards Department of any change of address or revision of personal profile data. Name and address changes may be made online at www.couples.com/romancerewards or by contacting the Romance Rewards Department and must include supporting legal documentation, signature, date and Membership Number.

You cannot have more than one account per household. If you are incorrectly assigned more than one account, you should call the Romance Rewards Department to have one membership cancelled. Nights Stayed may not be transferred or assigned. Corporations, companies, associations and groups can not enroll in the Program.

In the event of divorce or separation all Nights Stayed are deemed to belong to the person named as the Primary Member on the account. Accrued nights do not constitute property of the Member and are not transferable (i) upon death, (ii) as part of a domestic relations matter or (iii) otherwise by operation of law. However, Couples Resorts, in its sole discretion, may credit accrued Nights Stayed to persons specifically identified in court approved divorce decrees or to a legal spouse in the case of documented death of the Primary Member upon receipt of documentation satisfactory to Couples Resorts.

The sale or barter of any Nights Stayed, award certificates or other Program benefits (other than by Couples Resorts) is strictly prohibited and any Nights Stayed, award certificates or other Guest benefits transferred, assigned or sold in violation of the Rules may be confiscated or cancelled.

Right to Change and Terminate Programs or Trademarks
Each and any of Couples Resorts’ current and future partners reserves the right to change its program rules, regulations, travel awards and special offers without notice and to terminate its program in accordance with its individual rules.

Romance Rewards is a trademark of Couples Resorts and its affiliated properties.

Award Redemption and Nights Stayed Transfer Rules
Couples Resorts is the final authority on qualification for nights awarded and reserves the right to deny or revoke nights at any time if Couples Resorts determines that nights were improperly given.

If Couples Resorts and/or any Program partner participant improperly denies a Member nights credit or some other benefit, the Member’s exclusive remedy shall be the issuance of the improperly denied nights, award or benefit if available, or such other alternative comparable benefit as determined by Couples Resorts, which shall have no liability whatsoever. In no event shall Couples Resorts or any Program partner or participant be liable to any Member, or anyone claiming through a Member, for any direct, indirect or consequential damages, or lost revenue or profits, arising out of Couples Resorts or any Program partner or participant acts or omissions in connection with the Program.

COUPLES RESORTS PROVIDES THE PROGRAM, THESE AND OTHER MATERIALS, AND OTHER SERVICES AND PRODUCTS “AS IS” AND, TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, EXPRESSLY DISCLAIMS ANY REPRESENTATION OR WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO, WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, OR FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE. UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO, NEGLIGENCE, SHALL COUPLES RESORTS BE LIABLE FOR ANY DIRECT, INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES ARISING OUT OF THE PROGRAM OR ANY SUCH OTHER PRODUCTS OR SERVICES, EVEN IF COUPLES RESORTS HAS BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES. IN THE EVENT COUPLES RESORTS OR THE PROGRAM IS HELD LIABLE FOR ANY DAMAGES RELATED TO THESE MATTERS, YOUR SOLE AND EXCLUSIVE REMEDY WILL BE LIMITED TO REIMBURSEMENT FOR SERVICES OR PRODUCTS PAID BY YOU TO THE ENTITY HELD LIABLE WHICH WERE NOT PROVIDED BY SUCH ENTITY.
