Ask yourself this important question: Why are you interested in going to the AN Beach? If your answers are personal, such as, you want an all-over tan, no restricting suits and straps, you want to enjoy swimming naked or you want to expand your relationship and experiences with your partner, then you are doing it for the right reasons. If your reasons are to "see" what goes on there, check out other people or want other people to check you out, then stay at the other beach. You can do all of that there.

Age and physical appearance DOES NOT MATTER. Mature "nudies" don't care about impressing others physically. The beauty of being a nudist is shedding all the superficial means which people use to hide behind or impress. At the AN Beach you meet and get to know people who are completely confident with themselves, non-judgemental, respectful and mature.

So, if you are considering exploring the AN Beach for the first time in Negril, do some internal exploring first. Be mature about it because you will be called out. Just like the "gawkers" are.

Exactly...I enjoy all of the things wickedoyster says I'm "supposed" to enjoy but at the same time I'm still a red-blooded male and enjoy checking out and being checked out (hopefully the latter still happens, haha). To me, there's nothing wrong with checking people out whether it's clothed or unclothed. What makes me a little uncomfortable is when you're getting sized up by swingers...my wife and I were at Cali**te in Florida and while it's a very nice resort and comfortable, at times, you do feel like you're being looked at for the wrong reasons. I'm not against swinging (to each their own), just not our style. We've been to Couples 3 times and a handful of other A/N resorts and we've never felt like we're being sized up, everyone's just hanging out in their birthday suits.

There's only one rule about being A/N and that's SIT ON A TOWEL...sadly (and grossly?) I really only see that one broken at Couples.

If you read the message board many of the comments and questions from fist timers indicate a very immature view of the AN beach. Some are practically mocking it and making it a joke. Pretty much like the gawkers who walk by and get moved on by security or the occassional, brazen character that walks right through as if they didnt know it was a nude beach. My comments did not indicate that any ONE was in charge of anything. We are all responsible for to preserve the beauty and comfort of such a special beach which I and many others visit year after year. Respect the institution or some day it may be gone.

Maybe you should have started your topic with this information? I think most of us can relate, and agree with what you posted.

Hmm, I think Couples is responsible to preserve the beauty and PRESERVE MY COMFORT.
I'm on vacation, and the only thing I want to be responsible for is waking up in the morning and enjoying myself.

I totally agree with Don Johnson! My husband and I enjoy going A/N and we absolutely are straight-arrow (we aren't into swinging), but hey, if he wants to *discretely* and *briefly* look at an attractive woman, it's not a big deal to me. He uses good judgment so that he doesn't make anyone feel uncomfortable. It's like that Jerry Seinfeld episode, wherein Jerry tells George that looking at a woman is like looking at the sun, you get a glimpse then look away. I mean, what are we supposed to do, completely avert our eyes away from anybody who may be sharing the beach with us? That's just unrealistic. Now, I agree that getting "checked out" can make one uncomfortable, so it's really important for everyone using the A/N beach to use good judgment.

On my last trip to CN I was made to feel a little uncomfortable while on the A/N beach but it wasn't due to being "checked out", it was due to the blatant exhibitionism that occurred. A couple, young and obviously in love, came over to the A/N beach and after getting nekid, proceeded to do everything "but" the dirty deed right there on their lounger. He was laying face-up on the lounger, she was straddling his lap and they were going at it (kissing, rocking, etc.). This went on for about 30 minutes. I was *very* uncomfortable and kept wondering why security wasn't asking them to leave. The couple finally left but came back about 60 minutes later. Happily, they were better behaved when they returned. I'm guessing that they took care of their "urges" during that hour-long absence. I'm the first one to admit that the warm sunshine on my body can cause some amorous feelings but please, no soft-porn on the beach! Go back to your room!
