Taking photos at CN nude beach
We've been to CN every year since the late 90's. Until last year, if people on the nude beach wanted to take pictures of themselves or each other, discreetly, carefully, and with the permission of those around them, security didn't care. Generally speaking, this was early in the morning, or out in the water (camera pointing out to sea). Sometimes I have asked the guard, or told them what was going on, and it was irie, mon.
Last year in April, the first full day were were there, a couple who were first timers asked if I would take their picture. Sure, I said, and we walked over by the fence/bush, near the prude line, and I started taking pictures with their camera, pointing away from the two other couples who were there. The security guard was upset, yelled at me, told me no photos, ever. I explained that they *wanted* their photo taken, I was being careful, etc. etc. to no avail. She said that if other people (clothed people) see us taking pictures, then they will think it's OK too.
I'll say I do appreciate that the guards have gotten better over the years talking to walk-by photographers. But what is the policy? We're returning soon and I'd like to know. Randy responded to one post with "We do not have a strict NO CAMERAS policy for Tower Isle. Rather, we anticipate that everyone will be respectful and NOT take pictures of any other guests.", but that's CTI so maybe different.
Vynz---We've witnessed similar activities
A number of years ago we witnessed something similar. At that time we had our camera in our beach bag. After seeing the guards action and since reading others comments we decided to leave our camera in the room and have done so on every trip since. (and that's 9 to CN and 1 to CSS)
Along those lines we also decided to leave the laptop at home and as far as cell/smart phones we check in with home upon arrival and call home when we're leaving. Our family knows how to reach us in case of an emergency so we have no communication while at Couples with home or the office. This allows us to enjoy exactly what we came to Couples for-----us. We've been married for 34 yrs, we're not newlyweds, pics on the nude beach we don't need. I do believe that we all need to remember whenever or where ever we are, that there should be total respect for everyone around. Your vacation should have - No worries Mon!!!!
But yeah this is just our beliefs and not any policy.
