Thread: Tower Isle

Is there a beach on Tower Isle? Is it possible to go swimming in the water while on the island? Will there be food on the island or do you go back to the mainland for lunch?

There is not really a beach.... you can go swimming in the ocean and we snorkel as much as possible around the island... you can get into the water from where the dock is... see my post on the main message board to see the new dock... they do bring food to the island... although we enjoy going back on some days to get some good grub at buffet....

Thanks for the information. If there isn't a beach does that mean it is pretty rocky and should bring along water shoes? Is the snorkeling pretty good then?

There is a small beach but you can't lounge on it. You can get into the water from it and swim around if you like. The entire island is made of rock with pointy rock and coral everywhere. It is not a sandy island where you can just swim ashore from anywhere. Couples have created a very good sociable space on the island itself but the only reason this island is still around, so close to the shore is because it is made of solid rock. Its very unique! - watch for the waves they come up and give you a nice cool dunk every 10 minutes or so if you are close to the edge!

Well when we snorkel we have the flippers on so no need for water shoes... the snorkeling is pretty good on a clear day... you can see lots of fish and coral and grab some good shells..

Yes, food is brought out each day at lunch time.
Jerk pork or chicken, burgers, fries, etc. Save some for the fish, they love it!
We usually will have some of the guys go back over one day and bring some stuff from the veggie bar or buffet back to the island.
Look for the jerk or shrimp pizza at the buffet. Yum!
