Thread: will the nude beach be closed if...

hi, we're trying to decide between CTI + CSS. Here's my quick questions :
•if the seas are rough on CTI is the nude beach closed, even with the new dock?
•if there's a wedding at either resort is the nude beach closed?
thanks in advance, we really want to just lay on the beach and sleep!

SSB is never closed but CTI could be if it is very rough. The new boat and dock at CTI seems to have cut down the number of closures though.

I was there when Hurricane Paloma skirted by to the north and the huge swell plus high tide closed SSB for an afternoon

Keep in mind that there is no nude beach at CTI. The island is small, and there is a very small pool on the island with the swim up bar. While it is fun to stand in the pool and socialize with people, the AN setup at CTI is in my humble opinion, much more limited than CSS. We like the bigger pool, and the very large beach at CSS. We were at CSS in May (headed back in March) and had many day visitors from CTI. Just sayin!

Not exactly correct. When we were there this July, a notice was sent around that SSB would be closed for one day for a private function (wedding), so they do close it on occassion. They were to bus any SSB people to CTI for that day. If its too rough for the boat at CTI they also send those people to SSB for the day so your nudeness shouldn't be interupted hopefully.

So are SSB weddings as pricey as TI weddings?

Evidently there are times when the island is closed. We have been lucky enough to be there when CTI delivered the Islanders to SSB, a grand time was had by all. Everyone was so friendly.
