Default $ for the beach bands?

We will be at CSA soon and I want to take some videos of the beach singer that often pass by.
How much $ is reasonable to put in their pot for a performance?
On previous trips I have not brought my video camera so have just enjoyed their serenades to other beach sitters.
    Any ideas?

I tipped Jah Earllocks $8, plus bought four of his CD's. He stayed and played four or five songs for us.

Runner - pay what you feel is right. If you were in a pub 1 buck would probably get you 2 songs on a juke box so if they are playing live i can see throwing them 2 bux for a song or offer them 3 songs for five buck and specify the three you want to hear... If you really want to make your lady think you are "the man" pick one of her favs and then dance with her on the beach while they play it if i give you any more tips like this i will have to bill you enjoy

I always bring singles down to the beach for the players, alot of folks dont give anything so I know the appreciate any offerings.
2/3 bucks will get you private song/performance on the beach, whats better than that???

Hello all, I had checked delete on that rude post, but somehow it didn't go through. Do I think minstrels was the best word, no, but I don't think it was intended rudely. So that being said, lets all do a bob marley shot and relax! ( : Sorry that one slipped through the cracks!

    Seandymon,
Thanks, I was wondering how that one showed up.

...And I was so careful to word my response in a constructive, non-confrontaional way!
