any advice for CSA?
Hello,
I am looking to book a trip to CSA with my fiance in middle of Jan. We have read mixed reviews about the resort and this website seems to have the most loyal guests so im assuming their reviews will be accurate. We are both 24 years old and would like to know what kind of scene the resort is. We are not hard core partiers, however, we dont like sitting down on beach and reading every day. Do they have an activities team that helps inteact guest with activities such as volyball, drinking games ect.? Also some of the photos from other websites makes parts of the resort look worn and in need of paint, especially around the swim up bar. Is this something that is not to worry about? Any advice would be great I have never seen a resort with so many loyal followers would love any advice to be apart of this

Please pardon if I am abrupt, but this the 3rd thread you created asking the exact same question. Please read your previous threads for replies.

We just went in July. We are 26 & 27. There's not a ton of activities that you see but if you look a the board each day they have a lot going on. I'd suggest laying out on the beach close to the cabana grill and swim up bar. That way you can go back and forth. The vollyball net is right there too. You can have a blast for hours at the swim up bar though. Great place to meet people and it's usually the younger crowd there. Since the alcohol is free, be a friend and buy a shot for everyone! It'll get the party started.

GO!!! That's my advice. It was wonderful!! There are more activities to do than just sit on the beach. My fiancee and myself were married on Monday and returned last night...We miss it already. It's wonderful!!! Go and have fun...enjoy being waited on, the scene, the food, the drinks, enjoy everything!!
Don't worry about the worn stuff it all adds to the character of the place...which is beautiful!!

I think you had started two other treads with the same questions and I think people are answering on those. They are still pretty close to the top. Not having been to CSA I can't answer but CN has plenty of activities during the day and in the evening and I assume CSA has the same thing.

Hi ahd -
Don't worry about some of the sharp reponses to your question - it's all irie!! We've been to CSA 6 times and I've been to the S and the B resorts. If you're looking for lots of games (like goat racing or putting on those padded outfits and bopping each other or who is the best dancer or toga parties or any variety of drinking games), CSA may not be for you - the entertainment staff is very engaging, but if you say "no," they don't overly encourage as they do at the other resorts. There are lots of events to participate in - there is a daily list of more "physical" things posted at the fitness center - this includes beach walks, all kinds of fitness classes, yoga on the beach, etc. There is also more of a generic daily list posted in the Palms - this outlines other events occuring during that day (crafts, fortune telling, mixology, intro to patois, dance class). There are also lots of included activities (water sports, cat cruise, I think a trip to Negril town). In the evening there is a Casino Night as well as other events (although we're usually in bed by 10!!
My long-winded point is that CSA is great for low-key fun - we love it!!

Just an FYI - the board is moderated so all posts and threads need to be approved before they are posted. It can sometimes take up to a day before you see your post.
CSA does not promote drinking games, but there are scheduled activites throughout the day. We've only been once, but fell in love right away.

The resort is not run down in any way it is BEAUTIFUL!!! when we went for our first time I was 27 and there is PLENTY to do, or you can lay on the beach or out on your floatie...the swim up bar is great and not at all run down. You'll love it!!!!

You will love it. Go and have an awesome time! Stop reading TripAdvisor. We have been to all of the Couples and have already booked a CTI/CSA split for 2011 (we're headed to CTI in 2010). If it were bad, do you really think there would be so many repeat guests? :p
