this is probably a silly question but what is the difference between a verandah and a balcony. are verandahs enclosed?

Verandah is used in the newer section of room names at CSA; the older section tends to use the term "balcony." For example, the Beachfront Verandah Suite rooms are in the new section. All of the BFVS verandahs/balconies are the same, regardless of whether you are on the first, second, or third floor.
