Thanks everyone for all the great ideas! A couple I have read already, but not all, so I will be looking at all your suggestions! 147 days until beach, drink in one hand and book in the other!!! I like the idea of the book exchange, too...last time I left 2 books and borrowed one. They have a nice selection in the games room at CSS.

I'll be heading to CSA next month for the first time (can't wait, haven't had a vacation in 19 yrs since my honeymoon). I plan on bringing my Nook (which i prefer over the kindle due to the lendme feature). Loading up on Jonathan Kellerman books for the trip. Also lately been reading a lot of rocker autobiographies. Personal favs include brian "head" welch from Korn who is now a born again christian. Plan on reading his other 2 books. Swan song is really good too but only recommend if you have a nook or kindle as i think it is probably pretty thick and heavy otherwise.

Another easy and good read is Swan Song but i only recommend for those with a kindle or nook unless you don't tire reading a big, heavy book.

oooh oooh! Forgot to mention one. One of the funniest, and i mean laugh out loud funny was "Sh*t my Day Says". I read it one night in bed next to hubby. I literally had to clamp my hand over my mouth a few times so not to wake him up, almost fell out of bed i was laughing so much. It is only 100+ pages so it is an easy read. If you get offended by bad language or some crudity might not be for you as his dad swears like a truck driver but you really can sense the overwhelming love he haS for his son. Don't judge it based on the TV show which is TERRIBLE!!

I love this thread. I've gotten great ideas here. Patricia Cornwell's new book Port Mortuary is due out Nov 30th. I've gotten to read it pre-release and found it to be one of her best ones in a few years. Agree on the Janet Evanovich, especially for the beach. I'm easily distracted and these are fun, easy reads. I also like Lisa Scottoline. I'm also reading the Count Of Monte Cristo because I never read when younger and thought it was time for classics. Great book so far.
