Beer selection at CSA

Haha AnnArbor_707 you are so cracking me up!! I'm kinda the same way...a beer is a beer! I've had Carib many times and thought it was just fine and love Red Stripe but love Red Stripe Light better! never heard of Dragon Stout but that excites my fiance to no end! it sounds like a dark beer and I do not like dark beer but if its a light beer then heck yeah I'll try it!!

Isn't there a bar within a few steps from each of the rooms ? This thread cracks me up. If I had a red stripe light, carib, guiness, budweiser, whatever however... IN MY ROOM.... I'd be happy. If for some reason I was uppity and didn't want to touch the rim of a carib bottle to my mouth because of the inferior taste I could never picture complaining about it. Maybe I'm just too young or low-class, but you're on vacation and a beer is a beer!

At CSA there are two beach bars essentially at either end of the beach...not THE end but that direction. There is a pool bar at the main pool...looking at the map it would be the one on the right side. So I wouldn't say "steps from each of the rooms" by any stretch. I'm not much of a drinker to be honest so when I do I want it to taste good, I don't drink for the buzz I drink because I like what I'm drinking. Just wasn't a fan of the flavor of Carib.

A note to Soonerfans...you think you like Red Stripe here, wait til you taste it in Jamaica...WAY BETTER! We buy it here too sometimes just for the reminiscing but it's nothing like it is in Jamaica.

I believe that my wife and I are something of beer snobs but there is definitely a difference

We have tried (at CSS) to get Red Stripe in the room without success
I don't really like the Carib

Honestly, Red Stripe is a great light summer beer. It is not too heavy. Has a bit of a citrus taste. And it goes well with heat, humidity, and sun. In KC, I don't drink it much in the winter when it is cold and cloudy. We stick to darker beers during that season. But in the spring and summer, Red Stripe is hard to beat!

thanks, very helpful, is there usually a list at the bars as to what they have. I am definitely not a beer snob, but at an all-inclusive resort we want to try a little bit of everything so we were just curious about the selection
