Board Shorts for woman??

Hi everybody! I need to get some input on Board Shorts.
Here in the U.S., Board Shorts (a.k.a. Surfing shorts) are acceptable for women to wear as bathing suit bottoms in pools and on the beach.
What about in Jamaica?
I would love to wear mine instead of bikini bottems. I'm more comfortable in them and no need for a cover-up! I could hang out all day in them. Win-win, right?
What do you think? Only asking because I don't recall ever seeing any women at Couples wearing them. Thanks

Wear whatever kind of swimsuit you want (or none if you are going to a Couples that has A/N). It's your vacation. Be comfortable. Have fun.

What ever you want would be fine - so many of the swim suits currently have shorts or skirts as bottoms so it's very common.

I saw quite a few of women in these but they also make swimdresses now too. they look like a cover up you can swim in.
