Don't pick up the phone and dial...unless you enjoy shelling out the big bucks. (try two hundred dollars over a week). Take a laptop-Smart phone, and skype-magic jack-whatever. We use skype, it is great......but we have kids and need that check in....I also dive and take many, many, photos and dont want to buy several cards to store them. But I agree with most, don't waste your time on the computer

LOL KrisJamie! Definitely a Facebook make friends jealous machine. LOVE it! On our honeymoon last year we were constantly posting things we were up to. But that's just us. We like to keep in touch, we like to have TV for down time because there's plenty of hours that we are NOT connected to technology.

    Default It depends.

I think if being on your laptop is something you enjoy, then bring it. If it is only going to make you feel like you"should" be doing work/checking email/etc, then skip it. I find it relaxing to catch up on world news while I'm gone, and I've promised NOT to nag my husband if he wants to spend some of his hard earned vacation time playing on the computer (which he loves). It's his vacation and he should get to do what he wants, I figure (within reason!).

I don't follow. What good is a spare for pics that got corrupted on another card, or are lost when you drop your device on the ground?

I can go either way on this, but in the end, it is YOUR vacation and even if it is in paradise, take what you want and you will have no regrets and be happier if that's possible. Everyone is different so just go and enjoy.

I have a question for you!

What do you want to use it for? If it is checking email or talking on Skype the get a 4th gen Itouch.

Want to run remote desk top, email the config file to yourself and use Couples Computers.

Want to watch items that we do not want to talk about from the internet then bring it.

Really? Spend several hundred dollars on an IPOD Touch just to take it with you to Couples?
