Caribbean Airlines upgrade at airport?

Has anyone ever been offered an upgrade at the airport on Caribbean? If so, was it discounted or the regular rate difference? We've always flown American and were able to do this but they cancelled that direct flight, so we're considering Caribbean.

we flew Air Jamaica several years ago and paid for our upgrade, we could not use the first class lounge and we
could not have first class meals either, but for the 100.00 upgrade it was worth it because the plane was packed.
The cabin attendants seemed embarassed serving us food, since everyone else was eating on plates and we had plastic utensils and plastic plates.
