Can't speak to others but with AT&T I had full bars last year.

Yes, I was wondering the same thing. I have Sprint and I want to be able to reach my kids at some point and check in... anyone know about intl charges? Thx!

We have Verizon. It works fine, I call them and let them know we are going, cs gives me a number to enter to reset the frequency and off we go. It doesn't cost any more per month, but very expensive for the calls. I think last yr it was $1.65 per min. I learned the hard way the first time I found I could use it. But with elderly parents at home, I need to be able to check on them
