Chukka Tours Payment
We are leaving Wednesday for CTI (yea!!!!!) and I'm trying to decide how much cash to bring. We are planning on using Chukka tours for the dunny buggy/river combo, and I forget if you pay cash or credit card, or if you have an option for both, when you book at the tour desk. I don't want to carry around more cash then I need to, but want to make sure I have enough cash to pay for the excursion if need be.
Thanks!

You can pay credit card, but you sometimes pay a little more or less when the exchange goes through. Cash is always easier, if they accept it.

Chukka payment
At CSS we were able to put it on our room bill, so it came off the card we were using for incidentals. It doesn't qualify for the resort credits, but it's easy. You do need to remember cash for tips at Chukka, but they take US so you don't have to convert currency.

My advice would be to book it straight with Chukka and not through the third party tour company in the Couples lobby. We were at CTI last month and tried to book a Chukka tour through the tour desk. They couldn't process our credit card. After calling my bank, they said they could see the transaction but the tour company's server kept crashing before the charge could be completed. Went back down to the desk and tried again and it worked. Tried again 5 minutes later for another tour and it wouldn't work. They blamed my card company but I wasn't going through the international phone calls again to be told that the tour company's server is again not completing the sale. So...long story short. We booked our second tour directly with Chukka. It was $30 cheaper then going through the tour desk because you're taking out the middle man! In addition, they told us they were running a special because it was their slow season - buy two tours and get a third free. They gave us a third tour at no cost. The tour desk never informed us of this or offered it! So, my advice is to book and pay directly with chukka and take out the middle man - the tour company in the couples lobby. It was cheaper, no hassle and we got the added bonus of a free tour!
