Which Couples Resort has the best au natural beach area?? Please help!!

We are wanting to go back to a Couples Resort in March...but can't decide which one to pick. This past March we ended up at Tower Isle. We really loved it, but we are considering going somewhere with an actual au natural beach. I did like the island at CTI, however it wasn't very big. I guess I'm wondering which of the other resorts have nice au natural beach areas where there aren't vendors bothering you the whole time. Of the vendors that do come around, are there ones that braid hair or put wraps in??? Thanks!!!

CSS is the one for us. Repeating this year (i n 10 days actually!!! wooo hooooo!!!!!) Private beach, swimming pool, hot tub, bar and grill. What more does one need? Move on over to the Au naturelle section and ask the same question. Your only other option is CN and the AN each there probably has a better class of sand and the water is probably warmer and bluer but you dont have your own private beach as it a fenced off area. Most AN'ers are fairly comfortable with wandering nekkid across the beach in front of anyone that may be there. Many prefer CN but we prefer CSS as it is far more private and there is everything you need to languish all day if that is what your heart desires.

Pays yer money, takes yer choice.

Whatever you choose is going to be perfect anyway!

Hands Down without a doubt Sans Souci! Pool, Hot tub, Grill, Swim up bar, plenty of palapas and trees on the beach for shade. Take your water shoes it's a little rocky in the water where the river enters the sea right by the beach. CN's was WAY to public for me any kids walking the beach and I'm outta there! CTI love the island the taking a boat over when and when the weather isn't great it's all a pain in the butt. CSS PERFECT private and everything you could want! CSS has stolen us from all the other Couples resorts lol

5 times to CN and have NEVER seen a kid anywhere on the beach. So that's a non-factor as far as I'm concerned.

You can't beat the beautiful beach at CN and floating in calm warm water of Bloody Bay.

So many votes for CSS, but you won't find any vendors there doing hair braids. At CN, you have one of the best beaches in the Caribbean and the AN area is on one end of the resort, away from the busier center beach area. It is surrounded by a tall hedge on 3 sides and has its own small bar and a nice size hot tub. You can go right out into the pristine water of Bloody Bay, and there are no rocks to step on. I personally would find it odd to be AN with only water socks on! There are no kids there, as somebody posted, and it is not "public" by any means. Not just anyone can walk through the beach at CN, and you would have to go toward the other end of the resort to see the bulk of vendors. You will not be bothered by any vendors in teh actual AN area, as they are not allowed there. In fact, it is so low key, that unless you are in Bldg 9, you hardly even realize it is there.

CSS- I, too, have seen children at CN, and while I love that resort, it is not my choice for AN. Your vacation....it is up to you! Pick whatever resort "calls" to you.

The beach at CN is better than CSS: no rocks, concern about the water being less warm with the river's cooler water coming into play, and the sand.... The bar and hot tub are great, and it's nice to take the 60 second walk to the Cassava Terrace or the beach grille to get any food/additional drinks you wish. The break from the heat and 'closeness' affords you the opportunity to exhale for a few minutes, maybe go back to your room for any needs, and return; all without having to feel compelled to eat, drink, use the toilet, etc., completely nude. Never saw any children walking by and, really, if you're concerned about that maybe you shouldn't be on the AN beach area. Additionally, you can have Ochos and it's day trips/excursions. Jamaica, in our opinion, is for sun, sand, western sunsets, the slower pace of Negril, and the resulting serenity we found there. Don't think there's as much opportunity at CSS for finding that peace of mind; due, in part, to the social setting that SSB kind of compels you to involve yourself in.

We did not think much of the a/n beach as CSS because of the river that flows into the water and the rocks, the sand was deep and the pool and grill were great and very private.

CN a/n beach is great but if you want to take a dip then you go a/n in front of everyone because the hedges only hide the beach chairs area where you sit. You do have to dress to eat but no big deal.

Best Beach - CN (Also has a bar and hot tub, but on a public beach)
Biggest Pool - CSS (Also has a hot tub and bar, but near a public stream)
Most private - CTI (Has a nice pool and bar but no beach)

We love both -- they are just different. As noted by others, the sand and water is certainly nicer at CN, and there is a full-service bar on the AN beach. Just returned from CN (our 4th trip to CN). While the beach front is public, there is very little traffic based on it's location, and have never seen any kids.

As noted by others, CSS (Sunset Beach) is the ideal in terms of being private, large beach area, pool with fountain and swim-up bar, and grill. It is AN until 5pm at which time it is open to everyone to come enjoy the sunset. It does have a river flowing into the ocean next to the beach, so the water is a little colder.

Bottom line -- both are great. Either decision will be perfect -- enjoy...

Have you seen these (see below) from October 4th 2011 look under the AU NATURAL and go to Rules are Rules and Rules and CN. I was shocked and disgusted by this!

Just returned from our trip to paradise..We spent a lot of time on the nude beach. A few observations. 1. While Amay was working the bar the service was great. On her days off, it was spotty. There would be long periods of time when it was unattended. 2. They have added a warming cabinet that houses patties starting at about 11:30. 3. There was a "creeper" wandering around through the area 3 different times, chatting with the bartender, being in the hot tub, etc. I finally told him to either lose his swimsuit or leave the area. 4. There were several couples where the female would either leave her suit on or her bottoms on. I did call guest relations and security did talk to them. 5. A wedding party's groomsmen, (dressed) were hanging out at the bar, pointing and talking. I asked security to have them move along and she replied, "Maybe they are just getting a drink" My point is, RULES ARE RULES.. If you don't want to be NUDE, don't be on the NUDE beach. It is NOT Clothing Optional. There are signs everywhere! I felt uncomfortable and felt bad for all the women on the beach that were napping or otherwise unaware of what was going on. I also feel that the hotel staff should do a better job of taking care of the "rule breakers". My husband had a good point, how would they feel if we walked over to the clothed beach/pool nude and just 'hung out'???

I was there with you guys at the same time. The old guy was creepy and my wife (first time AN) was ever so grateful for you confronting the creepy old guy while I was at the bar. I also talked to the bartender (not Amay) and security about a couple who's female half refused to disrobe. They didn't say a word to her, so I finally did. Unfortunately, nothing changed. Also, the most disgusting...on our last full day (Thurs) a single male came over, disrobed, and starting hitting on my wife with a full erection!!!! He was friends with the tall, skinny male security guard. So when i raised it with him, he responded "He's OK". I'm in the process of writing a letter to Couples management for all of these issues.

I have been AN many many times, and I never felt as uncomfortable at times as I did at CN. Lot's of single males hanging out, not everyone AN, and security did nothing. Probably the last time we go to CN for sure. Next time we'll try SSB or CTI if we even go back to Couples.

I have no experience with CN or CTI, but we were at CSS in September and enjoyed the au natural beach. The beach, the pool, the grill...and the bartenders were fantastic. To be honest, what we enjoyed most was the other guests...awesome group of people. We were there for a week and spent the majority of our time there.

Could not agree more, CN is nowhere near as "private" as CSS. The A/N area is on the main beach separted by a fence on either side, but open to the beach, that the rest of the resorts on Bloody Bay can walk which absolutely can include children, at the very least lots of gawkers in the even you decide to stroll to the ocean. CSS is much more private you can get the occasional gawker on the other side of the stream, but nothing like CN.

I love both resorts but for very different reasons, but as posted above CSS wins in this category in our opinion.

For some reason people seem to be hung up on "gawkers" at CN. I've been to CN 5 times & have yet to see my first "gawker". Do clothed people walk by? Yes....Do children walk by? I've seen only one (about 3 years old) on her father's shoulders in all the times we've been there and she couldn't have cared less....My definition of a "gawker" is someone who stops & stares or who continually walks back & forth in front of the nude section. As I said I've have not seen a "gawker". Do people (mostly Americans) look? Of course...it's unusual and/or unexpected to see people walking around naked. Does this make them bad people or perverts?....no it makes them curious. They are doing no harm. At other resorts where they "fence" you in to keep you totally separate from the "normal" people I feel like a leper that's why I wish CN was clothing optional & not a designated nude section but it's still better than CSS & CTI......Years ago, Orient Beach in St. Martin was clothing optional for the entire 1 1/2 miles of the beach. This was Utopia....everybody was free to do their own thing and nobody was offended...
