Randymon,
Are the rumors true???
there are rumors of a couples resort in mexico? where in?
Where did you hear this rumor?
I'll believe it when I hear it from Couples. Could be an interesting addition to the Couples chain though. It's a small resort with only 62 rooms.
CN, CSA, CTI, CSS and CIM?

Couples will be taking over the Isla Mujeres Palace Resort in MX on 9/1/10. I have not seen it on their website yet but was notified earlier today. I was surprised and pleased to learn that they were expanding beyond Jamaica.
I have visited the resort and it is an interesting choice for Couples. It is quite contemporary and has a nice beach and modern rooms.
It will be interested to see how this resort turns out once Couples takes over.
I heard about it on the Tripadvisor forum for Jamaica.
All I can say is Wow! Razzl

I talked to Palace Resorts member services and Isla Mujeures Palace will become a couples only resort as of September 1st. It will not be a Couples Resort brand, but still a Palace Resort that will allow couples only. Still Isla Mujeures Palace.
Sorry all you Couples Resort fans.
Whoa, that is exciting!
This would be amazing if it is true!

I just read that forum and it said the original post was in error. The resort in Mexico will be switching to a "Couples-Only" format and will not be affiliated with the Jamaica Couples Resorts. Sorry if I am the bearer of bad news.
The thread is indeed in TA under the Jamaica Forum (& readable) however, it's closed by request of initiator. Isla Mujeres is now a for couples only resort. It is not a branded Couples Resort and will remain a Palace Resort, from what we read last night... Razzl
Darn!
I am relieved that the rumours are not true! We are one vacation away from doing the Couples "Grand Slam" and would not want to have to go to Mexico too! LOL
It was hinted to us by a Couples manager that there are plans underway for a Couples 5th resort located in St. Lucia.

Life is good :)
