Default "Couples Swept Away? Why not go somewhere else?"

Just returned from our 3rd trip to Swept Away. Honeymoon, 5yr anniversary and now 10yr. People ask us, "of all the beautiful places to see in the world, why do you keep going back? Why not go somewhere else?" I say, (and I think a commercial for Jamaica similarly says...) "If you go....you'll know." I dont even know where to begin with this place. 1st of all, all these negative nitpicking complainers I read on Trip Advisors website would find fault in heaven. That's just my opinion.
I'm a food snob, and the food here is second to none; choices to suit everyone, from late night burgers and fries, to the most exquisitely prepared fine dining.
The beach...well there is none better. I didn't like the horse guy burying the poop right on the beach, but aside from that...simply perfect.
The nightlife? Live music, beach bonfire, nightclub (we are not clubbers, but spent most late nights here, having a blast with staff and new friends), jacuzzis with no closing time, shows, late night eatery? C'mon people, what more could you want? You want a wild crazy meat-market nightlife scene? Dont go to Swept Away. We have partied with the best of them, and we had a fabulous time every night.
The service? They treat you like royalty, is all I can say.
Drinks/bartenders? Most of them comedians as well, but I am a former bartender/bar owner, and I can find no fault in any of them, but overall they were all stellar.
Bugs? They sprayed our room whenever we asked, within minutes. They gave us mosquito candles every night. We didn't wear bug spray one night and ended up with quite a few bites. This is my only complaint of the entire vacation.
I will recommend this resort over any other for a honeymoon, anniversary, or just a getaway. You will fall in love with it and want to go nowhere else. I guarantee this. And if you don't reconnect and fall in love all over again, you probably need a divorce.

Ditto!! We just returned yesterday from another (our 5th year in a row) perfect vacation at CSA! I don't care what the negative nitpickers say...CSA is our Jamaican home and we love it! Already planning our trip for next year! :-)

Well said twin6mike....CSA is as close to heaven as one can get as far as my husband and I are concerned. We are leaving in 5 days for our sixth annual "honeymoon" to CSA. If one can't enjoy the Couples Resorts, then that person just doesn't enjoy life....

    Default every year?!?!?!?

We are trying to figure out how, on a single meager R.N. salary we can go every year. This "every 5 years plan" is nonsense!

I guess they can go wherever they want for their vacation...I want them to stop worrying about where I go...we'll all be happier.

We found CSA for our 25th and have returned “home” four times. We are trying Maui this year because the wife has always wanted to go. It will be hard not to compare everything to Couples. I’m sure we will return to our beloved Jamaica.

    Life is good

We also agree completely. There are minor things that happen in a stay...but have you ever had a day where everything went well? We have and it was at CSA. We go other places as well but look forward to our return home to paradise everytime.

Glad you guys had such a great time! I was the late night dancer with too many margaritas and my husband was the guy with the cast! You have to make it back more than once every 5 years! We are trying to make it a yearly return. LOVE CSA!

Ditto! Feb 2011 will be our fourth year in a row and we can't imagine going anywhere else now! Yet we get the same question too. Several people who have asked, we've convinced to go.......now they get the question ;o)

twin6mike and terriandbo we remember both of you guys! (Mike, I have to laugh actually because we always saw you 'double fisting' your drinks, lol! You always had a drink in each hand and we thought that was awesome - oh the joys of vacation!) We loved our first time in Jamaica and we're very glad we chose Couples to go to. The weather was perfect, the food was perfect, and our time there was perfect. We are excited to go back but we might try another Couples resort just to try new things, why not? And Terri, the one night we went to the night club you were definitly a dancing queen! (I wanted tempted to join you to dance - you were having a blast!) Glad everyone had a great time, it is truly a beautiful place! Oh, and I was the one with my entire back tattooed and my guy was the one with a blue sleeve tattoo. Maybe you might have seen us, but if not, either way, cheers to Swept Away!
