Default CSA - Differences between rooms?

I'm having trouble deciding between a Beachfront Suite, a Beachfront Verandah Suite, and an Ocean Verandah Suite.

Seems the BS has a terrace and not a verandah, though I'm not sure what the difference is. Can anyone help on that?

And it seems that the difference between the OVS and the BFVS is simply the view. Am I right?

And finally, I thought the idea of a jacuzzi would be nice, but I'm not sure I want to stay in the Great House. (which is the only place where they are located) The GH sounds more like a hotel than a quaint villa, which is how I'm picturing most of the other rooms.

Any factual information and/or opinions you have on this topic would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

BF - Mostly 4 units (I think) two story with large veranda, porch, balcony...whatever you want to call it. Mini-bar, no TV. Located on the beachfront walk.

BFVS - All 12 units 4 per floor 3 story, smaller veranda, Mini-bar, TV. Located on the beachfront walk. End units are best.

OVS - Same as BFVS but located mostly behind the BFVS with some view of the ocean (sea).

We have stayed in both BF and BFVS...both good! All rooms are good but I like the BF or BFVS best. Atriums are nice too but back further from the beach. Have stayed in that class once.

Default CSA - difference between rooms

    Hi,

Great choice on CSA, you'll love it! Basically the difference in rooms is this...anything with the "verandah" in it is on the newer side of the resort. These buildings have 12 rooms in them, 4 on each floor. The "original" side are the Garden, Atrium and Beach Front rooms, where there are only 4 rooms in each building. We really loved the "original" section of the resort as we found it more intimate and villa like. I'm not sure if a TV or mini bar is important to you because not all of the rooms have these features, so check out the descriptions of each room to see which meets your needs.
    Hope this helps!

If you want a quaint villa you should choose the BS. The BFVS and OVS are in buildings with 3 floors and each floor has 4 units. They are nice but too "hotel like" for my taste. The GHVS are even more hotel like.

The BS and the Atrium suites are only 2 stories high with 2 rooms per story. I have stayed in an OVS and an Atrium Suite and I greatly prefer the Atrium Suite and the older side to the newer side.

As you probably know from reading the descriptions provided by CSA, any room with "Verandah" in the title has a TV, and any room without that word has no TV. Also, the Verandah rooms have glass in the windows, the Beachfront Suite does not. All of the rooms you've indicated have mini bars.

We've stayed in the BFS and BFVS, but not the OVS. I believe the only real difference between the BFVS and OVS is price and view/location relative to beach.

We love both the BFS and BFVS - they're both beautiful rooms, and if you choose the BFS, there's a chance that you'll be housed in one of 4 suites that have roomy wraparound porches (they're fabulous!!)

The BFS are on the "old" side of the resort (near the Palms and the Water Sports area), the BFVS are on the "new" side of the resort (closest to the Great House) and are in buildings housing 9 units each.

We never noticed any difference in airconditioning between the rooms with and the rooms without the glass windows. Probably the only difference you'll find in glass vs. non-glass windows is that with the BFS you'll hear a bit more of the outside sounds if you open your shutters. Also, if you're housed in an upstairs BFS unit, you'll find that you have vaulted ceilings (gorgeous), but that the bathroom wall does not go all the way up to the ceiling.

Long story short, go with what your budget will afford, as among these room types there is absolutely no way that you'll get a bad room (and in fact there are no "bad" rooms at CSA)....

    Enjoy your vacay!!
