This thread is stressing me out since our trip is in 2.5 weeks. Since we paid for a BFS can we ask for the large balacony or is that not an option now with the new rates?
I see that the rates are already posted for Feb 2012, when we are going. This cat is now the highest priced cat at CSA.
More than a great house jacuzzi suite which used to be the highest.
I think this is an excellent idea! It is much better to be able to reserve in advance if this is important to you rather than expect the rare upgrade that MIGHT come along.
Kudos to Couples for this change.
We have been lucky to get the 2nd floor BF that we have wanted each time we have gone to CSA except for last year when we went. The resort was redoing a few of the BF rooms and couldn't get what we liked so we stayed in a 1st floor BF without the wrap around porch. It was nice but really it's just an atrium room on the beach path. I guess if you want a room with the wrap porch book it, but I don't think the 2nd floor rooms in the same building should be considered "premier". Just my opinion.
Where are the rates posted for this suite? Randy said they won't be out until next week.
Just curious. What are the room numbers of the premiere beach front suites?
Life is good :)
Going from rooms that we have stayed in the room numbers are:
Building 35, rooms 1128 & 1228
Building 36, rooms 1126 & 1226
Building 40, rooms 2134 & 2234
Building 41, rooms 2136 & 2236
I know the numbers for Building 35 are correct, so I'm assuming that the other building's room number would follow suit.
I mixed it up! Duh! It is a Beachfront Veranda Suite. I hope we have a good view-that's why we paid extra! Thanks...
So if you paid/pay for the regular BFS is there still a chance that you will get a premier one if they are available like before? The only difference being that now there are people who take a definite priority as they booked a PBFS? Or are you not getting one at all unless BFS's are overbooked?
Now all that remains is to have the 4 suites that are in the "Premier" buildings re-classified back to the way they used to be. IMHO, they do not compare with ANY of the other rooms, Atriums included due to the little balcony. On our first trip to CSA, they attempted to put us in one of these as a BFS, which I refused. We had to stay for the first night, but got to move the next day.
I assume they are just the first floor rooms with the huge patios on them.
How different are the rooms in this cat on the 2nd floor. Both room and balcony smaller than first floor?
Having just come home from CSA in a BVS, we loved the proximity to the beach. We booked our next trip in October and BVS was not available. We chose premier beachfront suites which supposedly is an upgrade. Any comments?
We have always want to stay in one of the large 1st floor rooms. Now we will get our chance. We have a Premier Beachfront Suite booked for 2/28 - 3/9/2013.
A couple of times we had booked an Atrium. They put us in the small 2nd floor room, of what is now the Premier Building, room 1229. The bedroom is about the size of an Atrium. The balcony is the only thing that is small. This was at the time that the Atriums did not have a mini bar. This room had one, but it did not have a hammock. We enjoyed the room.
I'm just happy to be at CSA. Now I stand a better chance of having one of the large 1st floor rooms. My wife and I do spend a lot of time on our verandah. We have coffee out there every morning. I do email a couple of times a day out there and when the afternoon showers come we hang out there and drink!!
I'm kind of glad they are doing this. 3 years ago I booked a BFS thinking I was getting the big wrap around porch. Before I left I did some investigating on the website and saw 2 different types of BFS one being the wrap around and the other a lot smaller.(both located in the old section) I was kind of mad that I booked in this catagory . (would have booked a BFVS if was told at the time). Anyway, I asked my travel agent to request one of the wrap arounds and I lucked out. But before I left I was so stressed about this situation not knowing what the turn out was going to be. Thanks
I thought I had a pretty good idea what we booked... now I am unsure. Any clarification would be good so we know if we need to dump more cash....
Does anyone have any pictures of the regular BFS? I see they have changed the accomodations to have no picture for the regular BFS. We booked a BFS for our June 2013 wedding based on the video of the Premier BFS, and now I am trying to figure out if we should upgrade to the premier BFS. Any way you can apply resort credits to the room upgrages?
This is my exact situation now. We leave in 10 days and I just discovered there is a difference.
My understanding (guess) is that those rooms are still Atriums. Please note 2236 is an Atrium and 2235is a Premium BFS. That building is numbered differently for some reason. From what Randy said earlier, I think you would have a chance to be upgraded into one of the premium rooms if they weren't already booked.
scorpiogal, that's a big 10-4. Can't answer # 2 . over and out.
