Hubby & I are considering golfing on this trip. Neither of us are very good golfers, but we still have fun chasing the ball around. (lots of chasing!!!)

How difficult is the course?

I know we will have a caddy and he will help, but I just wondered if it might be too difficult for us.

Can we only do 9 holes or must we do all 18?

How much does the caddy cost?

How much does it cost to rent clubs? (See we aren't that great because we are willing to rent clubs! LOL)

How difficult is the course?

It is not a very hard course, on the short side, mostly flat, some sand traps, little water. If you can hit the ball some what straight the course is not that bad. Lots of out of bounds. The white tees are rated at 69.9 with a slope of 125. The white tees are only 6054 yards long. Ladies tees are only 4961 yards. The course name is Sandals Upton Golf and Country Club.

Can we only do 9 holes or must we do all 18?

Yes your can play 9 or 18, the bus for 18 holes leaves at 8am, 9 holes is 1pm.

How much does the caddy cost?

If walking ==> $17.00 each for 18 holes, $12.00 each for 9 holes.
If you Ride==> $25.00 per cart for 18 holes, $17.00 per cart for 9 holes.
You should tip the caddy and purchase them a drink or so. I tipped $20 for 18 holes.

How much does the cart cost?

$40.00 per cart for 18 holes, $25.00 for 9 holes

How much does it cost to rent clubs?

45.00 for 18 holes, $30.00 for 9 holes. Sometimes they will let you two share a set of clubs and this will save one rental. The clubs are nothing great, at least in July.

Other info.

Bring you own balls, tees, and gloves from home. I just played in tennis shoes to save weight on baggage. They do rent shoes for $16 and includes a pair of socks. I think the $16 is kind of high.

Just go play and have a good time. If you play 18 you will back to the resort about 1pm.
