I am confused on which rooms to book at CTI. I have read many reviews on Couples and they are mostly great - but the negative ones are really a concern. We are just looking for a clean and well kept room with a spectacular view of the ocean. Anyone have any room ideas to either book or to stay away from ? This may be a destination wedding in November and we really want to have it be hassle free. Our last trip to Jamaica (to S) had some room issues with flooding and broken bathroom fixtures. Thanks for any help you can offer.
All the rooms should be just fine. They just finished a 30 million dollar refurb. All rooms except the garden view rooms and the villas have a view of the ocean. I'm sure others will give precise details on room types and positions of those rooms.
All of the rooms have been re-done as part of a $30 million renovation so you should have no trouble with getting a great room. If you want an ocean view, then you will need to book any room except a garden. The only one that does not have an beachfront view is the Superior Ocean, which are located in Building 1 (South) and have a view of the adjoining bay/ocean. We've been to all of the Couples and LOVE CTI! One thing we have learned, is that for us, location is more important than size when it comes to the room. For this reason, we prefer the Deluxe or Premier Ocean Rooms. I'd be happy to share my CTI maps if that would help (firstname.lastname@example.org).
All the rooms are great and new. Garden view is just that. We like the rooms in building 1,2,3, and 4. Build 5 is nice, but it does not face the island. See the Panorama for the building numbers, they are a blue circle with white lettering. Nothing should be broken, unless it just happened. It opened in April 2009.
