Do I need water shoes for the catamaran?

We leave in 3 short days left before leaving for CSA and was wondering if most people wore water shoes for the catamaran or can we get away with just flip flops? Don't want to overpack after reading all the threads. Thanks..

No water shoes needed for cat cruise. Generally you go bare foot on boat decks.

We just walk on barefoot. I can not speak for CSA, but at CN you have to wade out in the water a little ways to get on the boat, and we just go barefoot.

At CTI flip flops work great. If you are doing the falls, you will want to take them.

No you don't wear any shoes on the deck of cat so no worries. Bare feet all the way they have you stow your shoes in bin usually.

You don't need water shoes. My second trip I didn't even bring flip flops on with me. You walk in the water to get to the catamaran and I didn't need them on the cat.

You don't need any shoes at all! You wade through the water to get on the boat and you really don't need them while on the boat.It will just be something you need to keep up with. I like being barefoot but if you don't then by all means bring some.
It's a lot of fun!

I usually wear no shoes. You have to walk out in the water to get to the boat as it does not come to shore.

I never had any issues not wearing shoes on the boat. I don't think you will get dirty looks for wearing them, but its my experience most people don't.

Having done the cat cruise at CTI, we didn't wear shoes at all. We had to wade about waist deep to even get on the boat, so I left my shoes on the shore.

Actually, no shoes are best for the cat cruise. Wear your bathing suit, bring a towel, and I bring a long sleeve shirt for the ride back -- but I get cold VERY easily, and I like to sit in the front where it's windy.

I don't think they will LET you wear shoes on the cat cruise even if you wanted to.

I wore flip flops for the Cruise at CTI. They took us to No Problem Cove. I don't like walking or touching the ocean floor with my bare feet, but we were in such deep water, and I could see to the bottom of the ocean floor (Which was just sand-no coral or rock) so it didn't bother me that I was without water shoes. I didn't slip around on the deck with my flip flops either.

We wore water shoes, and I'm glad...knowing me, I would find a way for my wet feet to slip on deck, so the water shoes made me feel better. It wasn't really necessary though.
