Do you drop all the way down to the young love level in romance rewards??

We have 35 nights of stays at Couples and are Romance Rewards members. We were at the Passionate Love level last year, but we have reached our 4 year limit since we enrolled. Do we drop all the way back down to the Young Love level on our visit this year? Does that also mean we won't be able to go to the repeaters dinner? I'm sure this question has been covered before, but I usually only check out the message board after we have already booked our next trip. It's too depressing to read about other people looking forward to their trip if you aren't going...LOL

i am pretty sure.... that your "nights stayed" will expire by date. Therefore they will expire as the first "nights stayed" reach the 3 or 4 year mark.... then more will expire as they reach the mark etc.

Yup, and we don't like it, frankly. We've been 6 times staying 31 nights, and we've been moved down to Renewed Love. With a new baby we can't make it every year, so I'm sure we'll drop further down than that soon.

No, you drop to the level below passionate. That's what happened to us. You should still get the invite to the repeaters dinner.

As I understand it, after 4 years, just your oldest points drop out each year, so no, you will not go back down to Young Love as long as you keep on topping up your points.

You won't necessarily drop down to the Young Love level, unless all/most your nights expire at the same time. For instance, if 20 of your nights expire, you'll still be at the Renewed Love level. The nights expire 4 years from the time they're earned. So, if you've been continually earning nights over the past 4 years, you shouldn't drop down very far. The program doesn't just wipe your account clean after 4 years (unless, of course, you haven't earned any nights during that time!)

We were at the Passionate Love level as well, but because we had a couple of years that we didn't go to Couples, all but 7 of our nights have expired. Therefore, sadly, we're back down to the Young Love level.

As long as you're at the Young Level or above, you'll receive the invitation to the Repeater's dinner. If you fall down to the First Love level, you may need to contact someone to see if you still qualify for the dinner.

I think the days fall off after 4 year after obtaining them not when you signed up. So unless you stayed all 35 days in one visit you will still be at the passionate level.

It's only a 12-month window now, not four years. We were told that at check-in this week and were quite disappointed that we had no benefits except the repeaters dinner.

If you log on to the Romance Rewards area you can see what level you're at as well as look at the "Activity" on your account and see what points have expired and how many remain. Since the repeaters dinner is for those with "0-5 nights previously stayed" (First Love level) or higher you should be eligible for that also. It looks like the worst cast scenario would be to get down to that dinner and only be able to do the trading places and repeaters dinner. Not as good as the perks for "Passionate Love" but still something.

I don't believe you lose them all at once, I believe you only lose the points that become 4 years old. If you keep going every year for the same number of days, you will always have the same number of points, because the 4 year old ones drop off, but you gain the ones for your most recent visit. You should also still be getting a repeater invite :-)

We are leaving in 15 days for trip number 8. It has been 5 years since our last visit to CN. Having trouble even logging into our romance rewards. Hopefully we haven't lost everything because of the time lapse!

No, I believe the older stays just roll off. If you didn't go for a number of years, over time you would revert back to the beginning. But as long as you keep going, you will stay at the higher level (i.e., getting credit for recent nights as the older nights drop off). Repeater: you are considered a repeater forever.

The website says that Passionate Love is 24+ nights stayed. The paragraph below states that nights expire 4 years after they are earned. That should answer your question.

Hi Jamaicanushappy!

Your nights expire 4 years after they are earned. So, any of those 35 nights that were earned within the last four years will still be on your account. Only the nights earned beyond 4 years ago will expire. We too were at the Passionate Love level last year, but dropped down to Young Love once our initial nights (which were assigned when they converted from points with the old program to nights with the new program) expired. Oh well, guess we just need to go more often to get back into those higher levels again!

Oh, and as a Repeater, you will always get an invitation to the Repeaters' Dinner...no matter which level you are.

Regretfully we did - and had 28 days - we lost all our points last year BUT are lucky enough to be going the end of April - AND IT IS PAID FOR - yes I will miss my Couples Shirt and the "extras" but what matters is we will back - where we wed - for our 10th anny. To be honest we still read about everyon'es trips and yes it bummed me out but still we got to read and see the pics - and read about our boardies for the last 10 years - some of whom have had sorrows and some joy in life. Enjoy your memories until you return

What?? I certainly hope this is not the case.
