I ordered my soon to be 50 year old slightly overweight wife 3 new bikinis for our December trip (celebrating 30 years of marriage). So I guess she is a bikini model, just not the kind you see in most magazines. I think she looks better in a bikini than a one piece, but I have really rose colored glasses when I look at her!!!! Love does that to you.

Funny that you should ask, I happen to be a swimsuit model for Old Chubby Guy Magazine. You'll have a great time. No worries.

This is great to know. Kevin and I are heading to CSS for our honeymoon and we are both not the skinniest people out there. Kevin has put on a lot of weight over the past year do to his chemo treatments and has always worn a shirt in the water/beach area. I am hoping that this time around he will let go and go TOPLESS haha. He can proudly show his chemo and surgery scars without a second thought. As for me, a BBW I will buy a bikini top but I am still not 100% sure I will wear it but we will be there for 2 full weeks so maybe by the end I will

    Default Bikini Model

I am a bikini model...and I visit the beach! (ok...I am a model of the average 43 year old mother of 2...who could loose 20 lbs or more to feel more comfortable) People on resorts are average people in average swimsuits. The brochures just use the pretty people for sales benefits!

It is amazing how self conscious we all are on the beach in our bathing suits. On our last trip we went to CTI and CSS and discovered the nude beach. It's true what they say, once you try it you don't go back to the clothed beach! I have never met such wonderful people or felt so free in my life! We met a lovely couple at CSS that were from the US. They were on the nude beach every day and enjoyed every minute. I would guess them to be in their late 50's and she had had a double mastectomy! No bashfulness or embarassment at all. I thought to myself "get over yourself and your spare tire already!"
Incidentally, the spare tire is much less noticeable at the nude beach without the bikini bottoms pushing it up! My husband really enjoyed asking me each morning which bikini I was "not going to wear that day!" If they would just add a nude beach at CSA it would be the perfect Couples Resort!

On our last visit to SSB in July 2010 our favorite bartender of all time told us a great story. She said that one day there was a rather seriously overweight patron who showed up at SSB. She remarked to the bartender how she had to leave the textile beach because she felt she had been ridiculed by some of her fellow beach folks. She decided to try SSB and was astounded at the acceptance and good feelings she had at SSB. Do I hear any iries?

I have been to COR (now CTI), CSS and CSA. And I am also a fitness instructor and trainer(I have taught at all these resorts as well) . I believe in the idea that being HEALTHY is far more important than fitting in a bikini.

No, the majority of the people at these resorts are really normal people (as far as size is concerned) and I LOVE that! Be confident about where you are in your body RIGHT now and stand in gratitude that you are able to get on a plane and enjoy an amazing resort! That's a gift that SO many people don't have right now, especially in this economy!

If you have a goal to lose weight, do it for YOU, for the RIGHT reasons, when YOU are ready and don't worry about what others think!

ROCK your bikini and have a blast!!!

I love going on vacation down south because it is the ONLY time you will catch me in a two piece, and i LOVE it. Noone cares or is concerned about what anyone else looks like as opposed to back home. I'm not a big person but i've still always been very self concious wearing a bathing suit, but down south, all my worries disappear.

oh my!! This is our first trip to couples as well... We are going to CTI and I chose that so I could do nudity or not! I am so very nervous... I am a very modest person, but after hearing all that everyone has to say, I feel somewhat more relaxed! Thanks to you all & as for Rebecca & Kevin... LIVE IT UP!!! you both have much to be thankful for, but mostly each other and the trials you have been through! What a very blessed couple Best wishes to you both & if you two will do it, then I will too!!!
