Yes, as you can see by the prices. I often wonder how people can afford to go twice a year and then I see they go during off season when the rates are almost 1/2 what we pay for February. For my job I can only go a certain time of year. But it's okay because by the time February hits, I'm so sick of the snow I"d probably pay 3 times that to get out of here :-)

If we could afford to go in February every time I would. The weather is awesome and the weather here at home(Minnesota) is brutal. Plus in early February, the first Sunday, you can watch the Superbowl on the beach. So much fun.

    Westonsmom,

Thanks, I guess the off season would be the summer time during hurricane season. I need to check out those prices to compare. Thanks for the rsponse.

Not only is February peak season, but the days immediately before and after valentines day are super premium peak - highest rates of the year, along with the week after Xmas. It's not just this way at Couples, most of the resorts in the Caribbean lower their rates during hurricane season to attract people who otherwise might be reluctant to travel.

The only reason why we can do 3 Couples trips in a year is because we have a double income and no kids. Makes a BIG difference!!! I think if we had kids we would be lucky to have 1 vacation a year.

February becomes peak after the 10th, just in time for Valentine's Day and/or President's Week. I booked my CSA vacation for early February so I can still take advantage of the slightly less cost and hopefully travelling won't generally be too chaotic being after the major holidays and before spring break time.

I live in Chicago and there's no way I could get through the winter without the promise of a warm weather vacation to look forward to. Going in early February gives you enough time to start to get sick of the cold weather and know that when you return spring is around the corner.

I was at CSA about 20 years ago for my "first" honeymoon but had such wonderful memories all these years that now that I've recently remarried after 17 years I think the statute of limitations has passed on my being able to go back and enjoy with my new hubby!
