Floyd's Pelican bar

We are going to CN and have read that we need to hit Floyd's Pelican bar. What is the best way to get there from the resort and is it worth the trip?

Highly recommend him.He will customs fit your tour.We did the rum factory and YS falls.Floyds is well worth the time . We didn't eat there but another couple was and the lobster/rice meals looked yummy!Couple said it was excellent!Floyds is just an experience!We had to depart rather quickly as a storm was brewing. We were in Negril in February and hired a driver to take us to the Pelican Bar. It was okay....there were alot of locals there and we felt a bit of a "weird" vibe while we were there. They had also run out of almost everything, so we ended up having a Heineken and heading back. However, I will suggest....before we went to Pelican Bar we went to the Blue Hole. AWESOME!!! Had we known how cool that place was, we would have spent the whole day there. If you get a chance, go....the staff were so fantastic, the hole was incredible. We did not eat there, but they do have a kitchen and will cook lunch. Check it out on the internet....it truly was incredible and we will definitely be going back there on our next visit.

Pelican Bar was most definitely on my bucket list....we went last July and had a blast (wear water shoes - lots of sea urchins out there). Again we hired a private driver, had our own fishing boat driver; we also did Black River (and since we are on a small boat we were able to get in to areas that the larger tour boats couldn't). We ate at a restaurant on the river-very good and inexpensive too. This was definitely a full day away from the resort. We were supposed to do YS Falls that same day but ran out of time. I posted a review last year on Trip Advisor.

mark527....if you are referring to Blue Hole, it is 25 minutes from Negril near Brighton. Here is the link to their website www.blueholejamaica.ning.com. It was an incredible experience. If you have wives or girlfriends with you, they should definitely try the body scrub. Awesome.
