We are leaving tomorrow and the forecast for all seven days shows RAIN...AHHH!! Is this typical all day or does it just rain for a short time? What kinds of things do you do on rainy days?

We came back a couple weeks ago and the forecast had showed showers (scattered) for every day, which is what it looks like now. It did rain just about every day for about 30-45 minutes...no problem mon.....took the advice of people on the MB and that is a good time to head back for a short nap....or whateverEnjoy.

It depends where you are going. It rains a lot more in Ocho Rios than Negril
but in most cases it's just
midday rain and ends as quickly as it starts
Don't look!!!!!! It will make you crazy!!!! (Everyone remind me that I said this in April when I start looking.) lol
When we there last year, Dec 12-20,2008, the weather report was the same as now this year. There were a couple of days that it lightly rained for ten to twenty minutes, and one night that it really rained. So don't fret

Mathematically, here is the solution...
Abundant sunshine + Regular rainfall = Tropical Paradise
Never a problem, mon. Never a rainout in 8 previous trips to the island.
Enjoy!

We just got back last night and the last couple of days was quite a bit of wind, clouds, and rough ocean. Some rain, but not a huge amount. From other couples who were staying in Ocho Rios, we heard that they got a lot more rain.
Unfortunately sometimes the forecast is right. CSS and CTI are beginning a 4th day of unrelenting heavy wind and rain.
Somehow the entre staff continues to be unfailingly cheerful and helpful. Even when we want to be cranky about the weather they manage to bring some sunshine and make this place special and the vacation something great to remember.
Friend in Negril said it's been raining since Sunday - and there was a bad accident at Kingston Airport due to rain, so yes, it is raining....and cloudy and windy at times....my Jamaican friends say "it's cold here"![]()
We just got back yesterday and it had rained for 3 1/2 days straight....not fun, but we made the best of it.
