Help! Has anyone ever been bumped? :(

Ok, I'm more than a little concerned about this issue. Noticed a thread about this same thing last week only to see it disappear and not be addressed by any staff member?? I booked CN for my 20th Anniversary in 2012 and booked it a full year in advance. We booked CN for the BEACH, so unless someone asked me to transfer to CSA I'm not transferring. My vacation has to be put in on Dec. of 2011, so rescheduling 3 or 4 weeks prior is just not accepted at my workplace.

June670, you are correct. We posted about our room category not available our first night at CSA recently. After that thread disappeared we submitted a new thread about room categories not available that never made the board. What gives???

CSA is sold out for our visit next weekend. We'd be fine with getting bumped to CN as long as it was all 3 couples and they offered to sweeten the deal.

actually, I did book with a TA because I can book a direct flight from TO, if I book thru Couples then the flight is not direct for some reason

OMG...if getting ready to travel is not stressful enough..NOW I've got to panic over this??????!!!! We leave in 11 days! I just actually called CN to confirm our reservations and she said we were confirmed. Hopefully there will be no issues......

Wow! This surprises me. In 3 trips to 3 Couples resorts we have not been bumped or had any room issues whatsoever. We have always gone early Jan.
The first time we booked a Transat package including air. I would be more concerned doing that and that the tour op (Transat) would overbook, not Couples. Since then we booked directly, over the phone through Couples. It makes me feel better somehow... and it's just nice to hear the Jamaican acccents Then we book our own air. It's worked out cheaper for us that way.
Irie... next time if you do book through Couples, book your own air to get the exact flight you want.. or even use a TA but not book a package. Packages are very limiting in their flights.
If I had a TA that had tried to bump me, (or anyone in their office), I would be looking for a new TA.
