Hooray for travel insurance!

Husband and I were supposed to be a CSA last week. Two days before we were to arrive, husband's grandmother fell very ill and went from the hospital to hospice care. Her daughter, husband's mom, was our planned babysitter for the week, but clearly had to be with her mom instead. So, trip canceled.

Thank God we had trip insurance... Now we can afford to try again! Even if you think you won't need it, it's worth it for the unexpected.

And as another side note - check your passport expiration dates NOW.

We have been to Jamaica 5 times and used our trip insurance on 3 of those trips. One time for both a medical situation and airline trashed luggage. It is well worth the small premium!
