    Default 1st time to couples

I am actually a travel agent (20 years now). I had traveled quite a bit before getting into the business. When I started my first job at an agency, the manager told me that they sold lots of the "S" resorts and I had better get up to speed recommending and booking them. My only prior experience with Jamaica was off a cruise ship in the mid 1980's and it wasn't good. I was not enthusiastic, but she booked me a 1 week FAM trip with the Jamaica Tourist Board. We changed hotels every 2 nights and toured 25-30 resorts that week. that was in 1990 and Swept Away was not a Couples Resort, but the first thing I did when I got home was tell my husband we would be going there together some day. We went in 1995 and have been to Jamaica 20+ times since then. As a good agent, I do not always stay at Couples, so that I may compare things, but I can honestly say that this is our 6th trip to Couples which are by far our favorite resorts...anywhere. just my opinion, but also my clients who continually thank me for recommending them.

I search the internet for 6 months trying to find a place to go away. Had a sudden, unexpected death in the family and at the same time I had a surgery which didn't go very well. While I recooping, we decided to take a once in a lifetime trip. Originally going to go to Mexico, but couldn't find anything that really hit us. We are not much for huge resorts, marble and walking a mile to get someplace. The night before I was to make reservations, I took all the books my TA gave me and spent HOURS on the computer investigating. Found Couples and read about their message board. When on there and a picture of a sunset sold me, the red flag service sold my husband. The fact the resort was small was another plus for us. Needless to say, we absolutely love CN, we are returning for our 5th trip this Dec, and hope to be able to go back every year.

We Goggled for a resort on the greatest beach in Jamaica that had a pianist that shaves his head. The resort changes, the beach changes, but Ulti is a constant great entertainer.

    Best Vacation to Date!

My husband and I chose Couples Swept Away for our honeymoon. We read the reviews online which were all great! So we took a chance and booked our trip. We arrived at the hotel and were welcomed with cold towels and champagne. This made the check in experience very relaxing. The concierge staff informed us that our bags would be taken to our rooms and escourted us to get lunch. They came for us when our room was ready, which was great! Our room was beautiful. The mini-bar was included and you can add items daily to be added to your mini-fridge. They had great food and wonderful drinks (they are not weak drinks either which was nice) They had great entertainment and the staff was always pleasant and very helpful. We walked the beach to compare other hotels and I can honestly say our hotel was the best. Our beach was always cleaned and raked daily. We even spoke to another couple who ventured onto our beach because they wanted to change hotels. It was very quiet and relaxing when you wanted it to be...and very lively when you wanted it to be. The activities were very easy to sign up for and they were far from cheesy
I would recommend this hotel to not only friends and family but also to anyone on the internet reading reviews as well. You will not regret this trip!!!

From the first day of marriage, I told my husband that we were going to Jamaica for our 10 yr. anniversary. I have been to Jamaica but, on cruises and loved it. I decided I would do a land trip this time. I found Couples through a search engine. I looked at all 4 resorts, showed my husband, decided on a resort, and about 2 months later we booked. I was excited because, we were able to get the $500 resort credit. This will be his first trip to Jamaica and out of the country. So 09/15/2011 is our 10 yr anniversary and we will be celebrating it @ CTI. I am so excited I am about to burst. I hate that we have such a long time. I am not counting down because if I do then I will get depressed about the many days still left. So, I come on the MB and enjoy you all stories and wait out my time.

We had a pretty miserable vacation on a cruise ship where kids over ran the pool and hot tub. The one thing we loved was the day we spent on the beach in Cancun. When we got home, I searched online for all inclusives for adults only. There are quite a few but the couples only appealed to me and there are less of those. Couples was the least expensive and the message board told me everything I wanted to know. I knew we would love it and I was planning the 2nd trip before I'd taken the first!! We are on trip #7 in December and have all ready booked for next year. I used to try to tell everyone how great it was and they should try it but now I just keep my mouth shut-the less people that know, the better availability for me! We talk about it all the time with each other and I think it about it every day.

We saw the Bayside restaurant and the Island and had to go on our honeymoon there. We will never forget our first impressions of paradise. We rolled in with no sleep, aggravated at the drive there, took a nap to awaken to the tree frogs and candlelit walkway to Bayside. We didn't even realize the food was so phenomenal or the staff so friendly up until that point. Hooked us right in!
