hut tub temp and mp3 dock...

We will be in CTI in 4 days and I have 2 quick questions:

1) What temp are the hot tubs/jacuzzis?
2) Can you hook up non-ipod mp3 players to the ipod dock in the room (using USB)?

Assuming the iPod docks at all the resorts are the same, no, you can't use a USB connection. What you'll need is the 1/8" stereo male-to-male cable that plugs in where your earbuds or headphones go. It's usually color-coded green. If you don't have one, Radio Shack sells them for a few bucks.

As for the hot tub, we never found them to be quite warm enough for us. Can't say exactly what the temp was, but you aren't going to poach anything, if you know what I mean. We were there the 1st week of Nov.

The hot tubs (an CN anyway) are kept at 102-103 degrees.

In Oct the ones at the spa were really hot. Very difficult to get in if you happen to have a sun burn.

If I'm not mistaken, I believe the Jamaican Health Ministry (or whatever it's called) requires them to be maintained at a MINIMUM of 102°F (40°C).

This is for your safety, as it helps keep the microscopic "critters" in check.

Just last week at CTI the two hot tubs at the spa had temps of one at 102 and one at 106. The two hot tubs by the old pool were bearly luke warm.
