I Am Now Officially A Grandmother!

My son and his partner had a new arrival on 28th December at 8.20am. Lovely little boy called Harry, 8lb 2oz.
So pleased that I'm still here to meet him! I have some photos on my phone that they have sent, will try and upload some tomorrow.

Welcome to the world of being a grandparent. It is simply wonderful. We welcomed our first grandchild our precious granddaughter in March of 2008 and were blessed with a grandson this past September. We got to spend Christmas with them this year and it was magical. My grandchildren are what keep the sparkle in my eyes, them and CSA!!

Congratulations, being a grandparent is truly the best. We became grandparents July 08, 5 days before we left for CN. If it was had not been for the fact that we were headed to CN it would have been very hard to leave. I was at the hospital though the day she was born. She isjust growing so fast, enjoy and treasure every moment.

Blondie, she is absolutely gorgeous. It is really hard to explain this Grandparent thing to someone who hasn't experienced it but it is the greatest. Will try to attach photos of my two angels.

All those children are gorgeous! I'm going up to the Midlands(uk) where they live on New Years Day for a week, can't wait!

Northerngal, they are adorable, what angels they are. You are right there is nothing that can explain it. It is wonderful. All the fun, enjoyment and wonderment and none of the hassle of raising them. You really do get to sit back and enjoy.

CONGRATULATIONS - being a grandmother is the greatest. We are expecting our 2nd grandchild in late spring/early summer. Have a wonderful visit with your grandson. WHAT A BELATED CHRISTMAS PRESENT/NEW YEARS GIFT. I am still grateful everyday for our granddaughter.
