My wife got sick on our first bus ride to CTI. She sat on the left side, to see the water as we drove. But the trees, bushes, etc were quickly going by and she started feeling sick. The driver told her to move to the aisle and she felt fine after that.

    Chris -

I love your perspective on this - being from Boston and NY, I totally agree that the Jamaican drivers are very similar to my buddies in these two cities - just close your eyes and drive....No problems, mon!

OK, I'm a total whimp.... can you experienced Couples travelers give me the scoop?
Thank you!!! Hope to book today!

.....Hint; don't sit in the front!! Jamaican drivers WILL scare you. But they do this all the time, and know how. On the other hand, Memphis drivers would probably scare them!! Enjoy he ride, a good driver will keep you entertained.

Our ride to CN on Sunday Jan 31st was one hour the traffic was very light and our driver was very informative and made the ride seem quite short.

Melody ~ If you haven't been to the airport in the past few years then you are in for a treat. In the past 5 years they have done major changes to the airport and have slowly redone everything. Sangster is now just like any other American airport. Plus it is air-conditioned. It doesn't feel like a 3rd world airport anymore.

I have to concur with everyone else, it's not scary at all. If it's your first time, and your from the US, then it takes a minute to realize that you're not going to get hit by oncoming traffic because they drive on the left side of the road. But other than that, it's no biggie. On the way to Ocho Rios, I would suggest sitting on the driver's side of the bus so that you're able to see the ocean. The last time I was there the driver didn't stop, which I was kinda bummed about because I looked forward to stopping for rum pumch!!! The driver wasn't pleasurable, he didn't talk at all, we all kinda went to sleep. But definitely not scary. I'm used to hearing the history over, and over again and laughing and talking. It's often one of the highlights because you meet new people and often times you end up having dinner or hanging out together on the resort.

Maybe it's the anticipation of what lies ahead when we get to the resort, but we don't find it scary. I do take something for motion sickness, but I don't sleep--too excited. One thing that you want see, or at least we haven't seen is "road rage". Sit back relax and enjoy the scenery.
