I've spoken to the owner. They plan on introducing schedule service from Montego Bay to Negril and Montego Bay to Ocho Rios.

Hmmm, very interesting. I can't wait to hear more.
This is great news.
A little competition is good for most businesses and more employment opportunities for Jamaica are welcome, I'm sure.
How much are the flights now (Montego Bay to Ocho Rios)? We're going in late January 2011. if its reasonable, we'll fly instead of taking the bus.
this is great news. when we first started flying into ocho in the late 90s it was 175.00 a couple. now 420.00. maybe a little competation will lower the price to something you can live with.
Oh good.. can't wait to hear more....hopefully soon!!!
That is good news. We love Timair & Curtis but competition is good. There is another airline, jamaicaairshuttle.com that was supposed to start flights from Negril Aerodrome last April. If you check out their site, they still say "soon" for Negril and the flights to Boscobel will start after the runway expansion which is currently underway. For now they just fly to & from Kingston from Mobay.
We just returned from CSS. The driver told us that the drive 'over the moutains' would take as long as the drive from the airport????
Randy--We are very happy about this news, Is there any chance that the "plane perk" being reinstated?
Can not wait for the rates!
Does anyone know if International Air Link will fly from Negril to Ocho Rios?
Bazil Jane,
My understanding is yes, they will have flights between Ochi and Negril.
Randymon, that's great information. If we are staying at CN for 4 nights and fly to Ochi to stay at CSS for 4 nights, will a Couples van pick us up from Boscbel?
Any word about the costs to fly to Ochi or Negril from Mo BAy?
Randy,
How about the plane perk reinstated for multiple re-peater over 10 times? Rewards the couples that keep coming back home!

Very exciting news. We enjoy the van ride on arrival but have enjoyed the quick flight to Mobay going home. Reinstatement of the plane perk would be absolutely wonderful!!!!
The competition used to really help keep the price down! Back in the day you could take TimAir (always has been the best IMO) but also Jamaica Air Link, AirNegril, and even AirJamaybe. My wife and I seldom fly anymore since the bus ride has improved so much over the past 10 years or so but it will sure be nice to have some competition back for these routes!

Any updates on this?? Just checking......
I am about to book Timair for the beginning of Feb. 2011. When is this service going to begin? I really need to know soon, if possible!
Any updates on this service starting?

This is what I've found. I'm not sure when they are going to start flying. Randymon told me that they have purchased two new twin engine planes.

They have scheduled flight times. With TimAir they will pick you up and fly whenever.
