Jean Shorts???

So...I'm beginning to pack for our upcoming trip to CSS. Do you think I should include some jean shorts?

I think that with the humidity they might be too heavy. I'd go with something more lightweight. The only time I took jeans anything was when we planned to do horseback riding - and they required long pants. I was soaked and miserable at the end however.

I bring them to wear as part of a swim suit cover up or on shopping excursions. You don't really need them though if you prefer sundresses.

It is HOT and HUMID in Jamaica! Non Jamaicans sweat...I repeat sweat, so unless you are into heat rash I would say to leave them home. Bathing suits all day for all and shorts or slacks for the men, and nice shorts or sundresses for the women in the evening are the norm. Jean shorts are very rare.

I do, but very unnessesary, only 2 pair. All you need are 4 swimming trunks 5 or 6 t-shirts, depending on how long you stay and 1 set of dress clothes for dinner. Thats it any more than that and you will be over packed.

I always take a pair, but never leave the room wearing them! They are not for public viewing!!!

I am sure that I have travelled through time and arrived at a thread whose subject is 'whether or not to wear Jeans made to look like shorts'?!! In the 2010's it was made a criminal offence to wear such a garment and I would therefore resist any attempts to look good by donning the said shorts. However, you people from olden times will be happy to know that it is now incredibly fashionable to wear white socks with open-toed sandals accompanied by long shorts (of the 'Capri' type, as our American cousins know them) and topped with a very bright Hawaiian-style short sleeved shirt! If one can style ones hair to provide a comb-over look then all the better.

I'm taking some acid washed jorts to wear with my fluorescent green sleeveless t-shirt and my sunglasses that are black around the lenses and fluorescent pink on the side.
