I would say that it's not an idea of right and wrong that's at issue in Jamaica, it's a matter of basic human rights.

that being said, anyone going into Jamaica with a gay-activist agenda is not going to make progress and I'd that's why someone was going on vacation, I'd say they were going for the wrong reasons. the time and place for a discussion on tolerance is not while on vacation at Couples; that being said, I don't think that was the OP's intent nor was it mine and my partner's on our recent trip. we wanted to celebrate each other and our friend's wedding and we did.

While I agree that Jamaica as a whole is not accepting of gay rights, once you enter into the Couples resort, you will find NOTHING BUT LOVE from the staff. I have been to Jamaica 8 times, and have seen gay couples and they are treated just the same as us. The Couples staff is not judgemental and all they really want is for you to be happy. They really truly do!
