~ Yes, yes, yes...seeing the pool and then beach when you first arrive at the lobby!!!
~ Having breakfast delivered in the morning. Relaxing on our patio, reading book in our robes, and feeding any feathered friend who may come by
~ Playing bocce ball at sunset, still in our bathing suits and with cocktail in hand
~ The way the green curtain flows in the breeze in our room
~ The most important decision of the day is which bathing suit to wear
~ And definitely tree frogs at night.
Great post...thanks!!! 26 more days...
The gentleman on Long bay is who I was thinking of. Sorry for the confusion.
Happy and Safe Travels!

Definitely the sound of the tree frogs / crickets makes me smile when they begin on our first night at CN ...... Makes me KNOW I'm on vacation & someplace WONDERFUL!!!! It's right up there with walking to the rail in the lobby the minute we arrive at CN & looking at that pool & beach & knowing for a whole week that's going to be where I'll be. Makes me smile just thinking about it.

My wife and I just returned from our first visit to Jamaica and just loved CN. There were plenty of things that made us smile at CN.
- the incredible view of the pool and ocean when we first walked in the resort
- the swans, hearts, elephants etc towel designs on our bed each night.
- the fresh blue mountain coffee that was ready for me no matter how early I was up
- hot, hot, hot..we just loved him!
And one thing that made us giggle like teenagers:
- using the au naturel section first thing in the morning, and the hot tub late in the evening...(nude beach first timers as well!)
What an amazing trip!!!
One of the little things that I thought about weeks B4 going back in Feb of 2011 was on the raft in the calm, warm turquioise blue sea. And since I have been home that is the wallpaper on my phone and just recently I was on youtube and downloaded the CIIIGARETTES VENDOR onto my phone as a message so when I retrieve my messages or just plain need a HAPPY fix i retrieve that message.
Franklin at the swim up bar, however the last time we were there in May they had moved him, what a shame! He is so much fun at the bar.
Ken & Karen - YES YES YES!!! Cigarettes, Cigar, gars, gars!! I love it! I so miss being at CN, we were there 4/23/11 - 4/30/11.
Another thing that makes me smile is relaxing on the balcony at 6:30am (cause the internal clock is still buzzing) reading my book, taking in the peaceful sights and sounds.
The schedule/assignment for the CN bartenders is changed periodically (I believe monthly or perhaps every 3 months).
Occasionally there are also personal reasons they make changes (e.g. Lindon away from Piano Bar duty b/c his eyes need a break from night time work, or, T away from the pool bar b/c the water on the floor had detrimental effects on his feet).
Don't worry Franklyn will be back at the pool bar soon enough.
I love reading these kinds of threads because I am trying to decide between CN and CSA, and it's great to see the perspective from the other side of the island!
I may need to start a thread for the CSS-lovers out there!
Heading to the Couples lounge at the airport and knowing it won't be long before we get to CN. Going to the piano bar and seeing Paul again.
My wife and I have been to CN 4 times now. Last year, we thought that we'd stay at another resort for a 3 days in Negril, and 4 days at Couples Negril. No dice. Being about 4 miles down the road, the wife and I looked at each other and almost simultaneously realized that we couldn't do it (Stay somewhere else.) We wound up losing what we spent at the other place, and we practically begged the hotel manager to let us extend our stay at CN. (It was peak season, so we paid quite a bit, but we just had to go "home". We arrived early in the morning, and we toasted with our welcome glass of champagne...we were alot lighter in the wallet, but relieved!!!!
I agree, Boomer, you know when you hear Brian Plunkett laughing that you are home. Craig Campbell is also one of those people that that makes me happy that I chose Couples Negril, what a great divemaster.
Reading this thread, I have to admit that I'm nervous about the Secret Rendezvous that we just booked. I actually want to go back to CN! Please keep your fingers crossed for me and the wife!
Carlton the Hot Hot Hot man advertising Bourbon Beach a lot of times did pass away. He was on our of most favorite memories while at CN the last time.
