Need help choosing a resort!

We are planning our honeymoon for the first week in May and haven't decided yet which resort to go to. We've been reading a lot of different threads, but hope to have some questions of our own answered..

Are there specific resorts geared toward different age groups? We're in our late-20s.

Is there a deep-sea fishing excursion offered? At what resort?

Are there any significant differences between the resorts? Are there any activities that are exclusive to certain resorts?

We have a few brochures, but haven't been able to find a list of all the different excursions offered and what they cost- that could help us make our decision and what we'd like to do. Ex: horseback riding, snorkeling, etc.

If our main criteria is to have an oceanview room, does it really matter which oceanview one we pick? They all seem to have a similar description.

CTI has the most rooms with ocean view. It also has the most included excursions. Horseback riding and snorkeling are free at CTI, the other resorts do not offer the riding for free. There is a mix of ages at all resorts. All the information you want is under the resort tabs at the top of the page. Click on each resort and towards the bottom of the page is a list of items, one of which is "what's included"

Is there a deep-sea fishing excursion offered? At what resort?All the resorts have a tour desk and you can book any excursions not included through them including Deep Sea Fishing.

Are there any significant differences between the resorts?Best advise here is to click on the tab and read about each resort. CSA & CN are both in Negril and part of the the Negril Beach which is public at the water. They both have resorts on one or both sides of them. CSS & CTI are near Ocho Rios. Both are situated in coves and their beaches private. They are also on the north side of the island so it is more mountainous. CN, CSS and CTI all offer Au Naturel sunbathing somewhere on the property (CTI is on the private island) Are there any activities that are exclusive to certain resorts?CTI offers a trip to Dunn's River and Horseback riding. I think CSS offers teh Dunn's River climb, but again click on the tab as to what excursions are included. Watersports are the same at all the resorts--water skiing, snorkeling, diving, kayaking, hobies etc.

You will get lots of opinions here as we all have our favorites. The best thing to do is to continue your research and you will find you keep returning to one resort and that will be the one that calls to you. When we were researching for our first trip, CTI called to us. We are returning in July for our 5th trip. What draws us is first the staff, then the people we meet, the island and the private beach. It is peaceful as there are not boats, jet skis etc. zipping around out front. The only boats are the boats from CTI as there aren't any other resorts near by. Also, no one on the beach except the guests and staff from CTI. The views of the ocean and island from the rooms is amazing!
