Negril Beachfront Room

We are going to Negril in August and have a beachfront room. Was wondering has anyone ever stayed in a beachfront? How nice are they. Any recommendations for our first trip to Couples. We are going August 19-26.

We had a beachfront room last December. Absolutely loved it. We had a ground floor room. However, Dec. 2013 hoping we will get 2nd or 3rd floor since we like to have the doors open to hear all the sounds of Jamaica.

We have been to Negril twice and are going again in November. We have always stayed in an Oceanview room, not a beachfront, but all of the rooms are the same. The only difference among rooms is the suites, which have an extra living area and larger bathroom, just like any hotel. The difference is, I believe, in location. I think there are beachfront rooms on both ends of the resort.

Our rooms have been on the left end of the resort, looking out at the ocean.

Building 8 (3rd floor view). AN beach is about 75 yards from our room. Bldg 9 is on the left, which goes all the way up to the AN beach.


Building 7 (2nd floor view). Just right of Bldg 8, building 6 is visible on the right. Our room was less than 100 yards from the beach.
