My wife and I are going to CTI in January and have a few questions for amyone who wouldn't mind responding. 1/When going home how much time before your flight do you have to leave the resort on the shuttle? 2/When going home do we have access to the Couples Lounge area at the airport? 3/Can I purchase Appletons Rum duty free and if so where is the best place to purchase it? 4/How is the snorkeling from the shoreline/beach and which area is the best snorkeling? 5/How is the snorkeling on the island & which side? 6/If we try the island do we arrive on the island then find a spot/lounger then disrobe? and when we leave do we get dressed where we have been sitting then go to the dock?
I look forward to and appreciate any and all responses.

1: Normally 3-4 hours
2: I don't think so, but we never tried. The check-in lines are usually long.
3: There are numerous shops at the airport that sell alcohol, cigarettes, etc. all duty free. Just remember, if you buy it before you clear security at the airport, it must be on your checked bags, not carry on. After you clear security, you may purchase alcohol and carry it with you. (no liquids on carry on TSA type rule)
4,5: The snorkeling from the shoreline/beach is not that great. You may see a few minnow style fish, but not what you will by taking the snorkeling trip to the coral reef offshore. Seagrass gets thick about 50 yards from the edge of the beach, and continues almost the entire way to the island. The left side of the pier has less grass and a little more to see as far as an old pier, pilings, etc.
6: When going to the island, do as you please. You don't have to get naked on the pier, and can certainly walk clothed to your preferred spot.

What are the dates in January that you will be at CTI? I'll add you to the "meet up listing for January" if you like.
If you want to see who else is going to CTI when your there, just click "meet up at couples" (top of page), then select CTI. Then click on January. That has everyone that is going in January (that has asked to be listed). You can pre-meet people that are going the sametime as you.

You cannot access the lounge on the way back because that is in a different part of the airport. You have to go through the arriving immigration and customs and then you leave the secure area. You can't go backwards so even if you did find a way to the lounge you would not be able to get back to your gate to depart without going outside, walking around the outside of the airport (which is surely a security risk and not allowed) and then going back through the departing security, immigration, etc and to your gate.
