    Default Night Snorkeling at CSA

Has anyone done the night snorkeling at CSA? The last time we were there two years ago it was too rough to go out. We are returning this August and wondered if this is something worth doing. We'd love to hear from anyone who has done this. Do you see fish you don't see during the day? Thanks for your input!

We did the night snorkeling at CSA a few years ago. If you are looking for a new experience, it's worth it. We did see lobsters which we have never seen during the day. Visibility is a little limited, but you each have a flashlight. There are certainly worse ways to spend $35.

We went and I really did not like it. There were a ton of people and they did not watch where they were going at all. I spent the whole time trying to avoid being pushed into the reefs and kicked but it didn't work and I got pretty cut up. Maybe if we had gone to a different location it would have been better. I had been there a few times during the day and had no problems but at night it was not good. The lights they gave us were not very bright, unless someone was shining it in my eyes and then it seemed really bright! The water was not rough but you do float around so you need to be aware of your surroundings and other people. Maybe I just got a bad group but it was not fun. People were constantly turning around and kicking people in the face without looking where they were going. I tried to stay really far away from everyone else without being all by myself but it was no use. We didn't see anything I hadn't already seen scuba diving or snorkeling anyway so I don't think we will be doing it again. Some people said they really loved it but they also never go diving so maybe they just don't have much to compare it to. Those people were probably having a better time than I was because they were the ones pushing everyone else out of the way whenever anyone found something neat. While they were seeing the sights, we were getting cut up by a reef. It was very frustrating because I try to be so careful of everything out there so nothing gets damaged.
