That seemed like a weird one to me also. I'm the opposite, I pack one maybe two pairs of pants and the rest are shorts/boardshorts (swim trunks).

u are on holiday spend the extra $$ and bring one of the old school steamer trunks this way u can pack everything you need and a lot of other stuff you don't ( like a soldering iron or band saw )
when you factor in the time and energy u save not worrying about should i pack the trunk more then pays for it self enjoy
