Pediatric Doctors Volunteer Request

As part of one of the Issa Trust Foundation programs, we are looking for third year pediatric doctors, semi retired or retired physicians who would like to volunteer in Jamaica. Minimum stay is two weeks to 30 days (preferred). The clinic team consists of a volunteer pediatrician, third year pediatric resident, who will work along Jamaican doctors. Volunteers typically rotate on a four week plus basis, and stay at the Couples Tower Isle resort. Volunteers will face challenges of delivering care with limited resources, both diagnostically and therapeutically, in a dynamic clinical setting. A typical day consists of newborn exams and inpatient ward rounds, followed by a busy outpatient clinic.

Any need or podiatric (foot and ankle) surgeons? specializing in rear and fore foot surgery along with diabetic foot ulcers and amputations.

Thank you so much for your questions. Currently, for the pediatric medical rotation program, we are not sending nurses. With that said, we will be starting a pediatric education module. If you want to email me your resume or CV I can keep it on file if we have an opening for a volunteer.

Occupational Therapists - we are currently not sending therapists just yet, but does not mean we won't. If you want to email me your resume, I can also keep on file.

Dear Mike and PJ, thank you for your response. Currently, the pediatric rotation program does not include nurses. With that said, we are working on creating a quarterly education program which will include RN's, doctors, specialists, lab, bio medical engineers, etc. We are in the process of creating this module.
