Run of the House Room?

what does that actually mean? iam assuming its whatever room they have available, at the time, but i now know there is some rooms without balcony"s, which i hope i don"t get because I smoke and my husband, dosen"t so i would have to leave the room to go outside, i just hope that iam not on the third floor

Yes that is what "Run of the house" means, what ever they have available. If a balcony is important, when you check in ask them if there is anything available with a balcony.

Run of the house is what ever they have, normally the lowest level. I think all Couples rooms have balcony or patio/terrace. What resort are you going to?

It does mean whatever is available and typically the lowest category room. I've never stayed in a room at Couples that didn't have a balcony, not sure where that would be???
If you have issues with stairs maybe you should book and request the right room category for you

Yes, that's exactly what it means. The only way you'd get this category is if you're doing the Secret Rendezvous. Otherwise, you choose which room category you want...you may still end up with a third floor room, but it would be within the category you booked.

I assume you are thinking of booking a secret rendezvous? In that case the resort AND room is whatever you get...You can't go wrong with couples, though as all the properties rock...Lisa and I always book for the lowest(cheapest)category of room..I personally think they are all adequate for our needs..the true paradise is outside of your room

From Canada we can book a run of house room, not a specific category, that's just what we've done for CSS and I got clarification from Sean about this..."Run of the house means what is available at check in. Starting with the lowest category, and going up. So if the lowest is available, that will be what you are assigned, but if only the highest is available, that is what you will get."

Hello, Karen is correct in that Run of House does not necessarily mean you are booking secret rendezvous. A few years ago we booked last minute through travel agent in Canada to CSS and knew we purchased run of house room. We understood when we booked it was last minute and we could be assigned any room at CSS. We actually were given a 1 bedroom balconie suite. It was absolutely gorgeous. Just go with an open mind. I think people are right when they say you cant go wrong!

No, that's not the only way you can book a "run of house room" by doing secret rendezvous. You can book CSS with a run of house room. We are here right now and that's exactly what we did. We did not receive the lowest category room as we expected but are in a Deluxe Ocean Verandah room in G block with a huge balcony and magnificent views.
