Sandal Man
Can anyone tell me what day the beach vendor who sells sandals is at Cn Or CSA. We are doing a split between the two and I don't want to miss getting some for myself this time. I took some home for others in 2008 and didn't get myself a pair. 123 days to go!

I remember seeing them at CSA last week, but i dont recall if it was thursday or friday. :) sorry

We were there 10/2-10/10/12 and he was there on Wednesdays (picked up 2 pairs...too bad it will be snowing here at home soon!). Please also stop to visit "Jimmy" who sells jewelry on the resort that day (and also teached a jewelry making class another day of the week, mondays if I recall). He has some awesome stuff and even remembered me from 2 years ago!

CSA brings in the outside vendors on Wednesdays and CN has them on Mondays. The sandals are very comfy!

Thanks For the information. 117 Days to go!

I bought a pair of sandals.. They are beautiful. I was disappointed to see one lady , rather than just say no thank you not interested, stand there and belligerently tell him that his sandals were ugly, poorly made and she would not buy them if he charged only $2 for them. I was so embarrassed for him... Why do people feel the need to be so rude and belittle people who are trying to make an honest living.
-
Would you give me an idea of how much the sandals cost? Thanks!

I totally agree with you Kerlyran. I prefer to buy something from the vendors that they have made themselves....knowing that all the money goes to them and their families and not to a "distributor" of all the generic soveniers. I am wondering if you saw the Great Thoma (he paints rocks) at CN? We are returning next week and I have some paintbrushes for him.

$15-$20 is what my friend paid for hers this year when she bought several pair for herself and her DIL's back home.

Yes, the rock painter is there! I never bought anything but I did stop to have a chat. I paid 18$ for my leather sandals

I paid $20 for mine. You could probably negotiate, but I am not much for haggling.
