We are all adults. There are no children on the resort and that is why some people go to adult resorts, they can be more free. A LOT of the guest resorts are from around the world and are not as uptight and offended as Americans. As an American myself I think that we seem to think everyone should conform to our ways. Go to Europe, there are topless people everywhere and its is just another day at the beach. Why should they have to conform because some stuffy american is offended? It BOOBS! We have all seem them.... its no secret. Grow up.

Yes, please!!! If it's allowed at CSS on a similar size beach, then it should be allowed at CTI too! I've already seen topless on CTI's beach and no one seemed to mind or even notice.

Improv girl.Sometimes it is impossible not to look. Back in 2007 I believe CTI still allowed topless on the beach and there were four women topless and they made so much noise going in and out of the water it was impossible not to notice. Believe me when I say it was not attractive at all. Keep it on the pier.

The other resorts allow topless on the beach but not at the pools & it works,

Just like the island, don't look then.

I actually don't think it should be allowed on the main beach. We just had our wedding at Couples Tower Isle last month. We had a lot of friends and family come for the wedding and stay at the resort. They absolutely loved it, but I know some of the older guests would have felt uncomfortable if it was topless. They were already wanting to make sure that the wedding wouldn't be au natural since they had heard that's the way it was on the island! How about allowing people to just be topless on the island too? We wanted to enjoy the facilities of the island during the day but didn't feel we could without being completely nude. I would've felt completely comfortable being there topless, but personally prefer to keep my bottoms on. Would it bother those who prefer to be completely nude to have people there with bottoms on? Obviously it's an adults only property so hopefully people would be mature about it! I just wish everyone could enjoy the island. Maybe they could alternate times or days so that everyone could enjoy it? Or maybe I just need to keep trying to convince my husband to go nude! He didn't feel comfortable with it on the last trip.

To each their own, I say live and let live. If that's what makes someone happy I'm all for them.

Amanda&paul, yes it would bother some on the island. The idea of the island is not "clothing optional", but "Au Natural" If it would have been CO, we would not have gone. The atmospher just is not as relaxed. The opportunity for gawkers is greatly increased. There have been several threads on this topic, and almost everyone agreed they do not want it that way. I will say, I do not have a problem and never did if someone wanted to go topless on the main beaches, but the island needs to stay totally AN

From what I've experienced at CSA, it's really a non-issue. Topless at the beach, tops at the pools. When we first started going to CSA I was topless a lot of the time on the beach, and there was no problem. Interestingly enough, since we've gotten to know some of the staff, I no longer go topless. Not that I feel really uncomfortable, but I guess I just wouldn't go topless in the states around my friends, so I no longer do it at CSA....

Given the very small percentage of topless women on the CSA beach (and 7 Mile Beach in general), I think this may be a non-issue....

Remember, the CTI beach is very small and intimate. For guests who choose to go to CTI, perhaps it is due to the fact is does not have a topless beach. CTI does make a compromise, the end of the pier, as well as the Island for those who want the full au natural. I have been to places where it is allowed, seen very few take advantage of it, but I feel CTI makes availability for all to feel comfortable in their own arena, one of the many perks of this wonderful resort.
Like the old saying goes, "if it ain't broke, don't fix it". We can all suggest, but we have no stake if it turns potential guests away, not hurting our bank accounts, but if could hurt CTI business-wise. Once you are part owner, I imagine you would take a lot into consideration before changing the rules. Visited in May 2010, hope to be able to return in 2013.

I definitely understand what you are saying but also I would add that if someone is that obnoxious, they are hard not to look at even if they are fully clothed, and the clothes don't necessarily make someone more attractive in that instance.

islandgirl, your reasoning may be accurate, but if you look at the poll results, it might be working in the opposite way. Maybe right now there are even more people who are turned away from CTI because it does NOT have a topless beach. The resort, while staying within its intended purpose, wants to appeal to the majority, not the few. That is why they are taking this poll.
