Still Waiting to Book Your Air? Delta Rates Have Dropped.

We always book the resort and air separately. We book the resort early when the best deals are offered and then wait to book the air. We have been watching our favorite flights on Delta to Jamaica for next January and within the last week they have dropped by 30% (from $1090 down to $780)! We booked today.

Funny how the rates work........ I have been watching Delta for weeks now and the rates just jumped 20% for April 2013.......... I use Kayak to watch it now.....can't wait to come home!

Did you check on their first/business class upgrades? Whe I booked them our tickets on the delta website, the upgrade to first/business class was only $25. Several other reported the same thing.

I am on the east coast, and US AIR is cheaper for me. Leaving from Philly next January 2013 the cost is $422pp compared to a little over $600pp from Harrisburg, PA. Although Harrisburg is closer to me, we will save almost $350. Only 230 days left and counting.

Yeah, I had been watching and booked our flight for August last week with Delta.

Just booked mine and it was cheaper on American. It was actually cheaper from Central Wisconsin Airport than from Minneapolis. We paid 508 each. That was less than last year.

Did you check on their first/business class upgrades? Whe I booked them our tickets on the delta website, the upgrade to first/business class was only $25. Several other reported the same thing.

Actually, because of earlier posts by you and others, I was checking first class. At the time we booked, First Class was about double the rate for Economy Class. Here is the interesting part: We always use a travel agent and when she booked our air, she selected Economy Class and we paid the same Economy rate I had seen on Delta‘s web site. However, when she got to the seat selection part, it allowed her to select seats in First/Business Class! The receipt and confirmation from Delta state Business Class on two of the planes and First Class on the other two, with lunch included! We only paid for Economy Class and they have already charged my credit card, so we are flying First Class all the way for the Economy rate!!!
