Swept Away Must see or do's?

Not getting any love on the Swept away Meetup forum so I am going to try this here.

Any Suggestions on things that are must see or do's while at Swept Away. I know all the main stuff like the sunset cruise and relaxing on the beach. We went to a resort once where we stumbled upon a late night piano player that was awesome but was never mentioned in any reviews and we wished we had found this guy the first day and not the last. So what are your must see or do things while at SA?

Scott C welcome to the Couples Family! We've been to CSA twice and heading back home again this December. If you enjoy a piano bar you'll love Ultimate Chocolate "Ulti". He's there several nights a week and we never miss his sing alongs or name that tune games. Check the daily schedule for when he'll be in the Aura Lounge at the Greathouse.
Here's a list of my other favorite things at CSA:
Banana stuffed french toast for breakfast at Patois (pronounced Pa'twah) Patio,
Sweet potato chips and dips at Seagrapes Cafe on the beach,
Any lunch at Seagrapes Cafe,
Working out at the sports complex across the street and drinking their awesome smoothies,
Relaxing early in the morning on our verandah eating from our pre-breakfast tray, fill out a request and hang it on your door the night before,
Long walks down the beach before breakfast,
Trying to go on enough snorkeling trips to visit every site,
Sailing hobie cats,
Treating the employees as if they are old friends and enjoying awesome conversations and big beautiful smiles,
And my most favorite thing...drinking hummingbirds ordered through flag service from the beach bar while soaking up the sun. Hint: get a flag, sit in sight of the beach bar and stick it in the sand whenever you feel your throat getting dry.

let's see...besides the wonderful water sports, you have to try the nightly entertainment, the bonfire (wednesday i think), movie night and casino night. The piano bar is open almost every night (i think) and it's right before the club. Enjoy our home! lol

Our 1st visit will be in 12 days, and I have been reading a lot about the Steel Band that plays at CSA on Wednesday, and that is a must see. I also read the the Piano Bar is a lot of fun too...

*Don't be afraid to walk the beach a couple days to the very end past other resorts and local establishments. We go north one day (you have to go onto a foot path at one point to get back to the beach) and south another. The water's edge is public and if you bring a few dollars you might find something from a local vendor to buy. Remember that everything is a negotiation and the price they give you is a starting point.
*Plan to be at the Palms on Wednesday night to see the Silverbirds Steel Drum Band!
*The fish tacos at Seagrapes are great. In fact, try any fish dish that they prepare in the different restaurants. Sooo good!

If that "other" resort was up the road (you know, the one they call "the zoo"?), and you were there in the late 80's to the very early 90's, you may very well have stumbled upon the one and only Ultimate Chocolate. If it was more recently, and at the "B" resort next to SweptAway, you might also have been fortunate enough to have "stumbled" upon the on and only Ultimate Chocolate during his moonlighting Sundays there.

Either way, you really MUST get into the Aura Lounge once or twice during your stay to spend time with the best damned piano player in the Caribbean.

One thing that we didn't know about at CSA is that they serve a different daily sangria at Patois Patio during lunchtime! Huh! We've been there 8 times now, and discovered it on trip #6. Also, they have a wonderful garden tour where you can learn a LOT about the native flora.

If you aren't already certified, you can sign up for a beginner SCUBA dive - it's a free 'resort dive' and you just have to pass a swim test and do some training in the pool prior to your session.

Make reservations to eat at Lemongrass and Feathers at least once.

There are roaming photographers taking pictures throughout the day. If they take your picture, you can go to the photo desk located near the gift shop (in the same building as Patois) and purchase them. They are pricy but Cecil takes really good pictures. You can also arrange a private photo session.

Go to the Martini Bar located above the Palms - they have Grey Goose here and the bartenders were highly entertaining when we were there last May. If you're adventurous, get the martini for two.

They have all kinds of classes and activities across the street at the sports complex. There's also a schedule of activities posted daily by the swim-up bar.

When you go on the catamaran cruise, be prepared to go swimming in the caves - bring a waterproof camera if you have one.

The Silverbirds Steel Drum Band plays twice a week at CN. Not sure about two shows at CSA but both these shows are not to be missed if possible. When I was there in Jan. at the lunch time show they let people from the audience come up and play. Another once in a lifetime Couples experience.

Thanks for allt he suggestions. There are definitely some things that I have not heard about so I am looking forward to scouting them out. I will add to this when we get back.

How true....here is my wife playing rhythm for them.....LOL .....she still talks about the time she "played" with the Silverbirds

My fiance and I just got back from CSA last night. It was our first time there and my first time out of the US. We stayed from 5/14-5/21 and LOVED it! Wish we didn't have to come back to reality.

* Fish Tacos are a MUST! I've never had a fish taco before... They were AWESOME!! :) I was sad when they changed their menu on Friday (I believe) and they had Snapper sandwich instead :( (Fish Tacos are from Monday-Thursday).

* Snorkeling - It was my first time snorkeling and it was really cool/fun! It's included but make sure as soon call/get in line at 8am and sign up!

* Try all the restaurants! You won't be disappointed. :)

* Try lots of drinks. Renegade I liked alot :)

* Talent show at the Palms was cool.

* Make sure you go on the orientation tour at either 10am or 5pm! It helped us alot.
