We have been going to CTI every year since 2001 (was married there), went to CSS when CTI was closed. June 2012 we are going to CSA for 5 days than transferring to my beloved CTI for 8 days. Try a split to see a different part of the island, but stay the longest on the resort that has your heart!
We have been to CN twice, CSS twice, and visited both CSA & CTI. Jamaica grabbed my heart on that first trip, and has not let go. BUT.... I like you want to see other places. (I will continue to wish Couples would venture to other islands). There is so much to see, but then again what is wrong with returning to a place you love? It is a dilema indeed.
We alternate. We did CSS in 10, and last year did Glacier National Park, and Vegas. Next year we have a family vacation in Cancun, and the Smoky Mountains, so by 2013 Jamaica will be calling. I think CN in particular is calling, I miss Bloody Bay, the pool, and Otaheite, although CSS I feel is my favorite of the resorts, the grounds there are outstanding, and the balcony in the one bedroom ocean suites I love!!! Then there is Pierre. See even picking which resort is a problem when you love more than one. (this could be your next dilema).
Another poster suggested the other side of the island, I will second that one try Negril, it is a different feel, with the cliffs and the beaches.
I will say this, I have tried a couple other All Inclusives and so far have found no comparisons. The rooms at other AI's may be nicer, but that is it. I have yet to find a place where the ammenities, the inclusions, food, variety of alcohol, and service has even begun tocompare to Couples. So although we love hiking, national parks, exploring the beauty of the U.S. etc, but when I want a beach vacation, Jamaica, and Couples will be tugging at my heart every time.
Good luck!!! My vote would be Negril next, then the following year something new, then back to Couples again...
Kinda like rinse and repeat, well you get the idea.
Yes, I'm leaning toward couples again. It's killing me bc I wanted to do the loveaway months ago at a cheaper price and $300 credit. Live and learn! Still may hold out for sr. Or not. I love you couples.
It is very difficult but as was posted previously The Couples experience is unique, we have been to many resorts around the world, this year we went to The Maldives, superb holiday but meals were all buffet and the all inclusive was well sort of all inclusive, so we are looking for next year to come home, being brits one week is not enough as it is a looooong journey so for our last couple of holidays to Jamaica we have split the holiday with one week at CSS or CTI and the last week at CN this being the first Couple holiday we had and I have to say is our favourite, just got the pricing for next year and to be honest it hasn't realy changed in the last 6 years! So very tempted but then our Son has just got back from Thailand and the accomodation over there is unbelievable for the price, but not AI, two weeks in your own Villa with jacuzzi B&B for $4000 for both and eating out is cheap ....................Uhhhh what to do?
Great question, we always over analyze when me and the wife decide on a vacation. The only place I can honestly recommend that was amazing is Hamanassi. If you search and look at trip advisor reviews, you will know why. If you are looking for Tropical or beaches, I would say Belize, Costa Rica, Hawaii, Turks and Caicos, etc. But if you just want to discover new culture and a totally different experience, your choices widen out. Obviously, Europe is great, but I am not a huge fan of spending that much money and really don't care for the food. Just my thoughts... We came really close to returning to Hamanassi 2 years in a row, but decided to change it up.. I don't think is bad at all going to CTI again
goingtocouples, do you find that these other places you suggested are compareable in price to couples ? We do the same thing in checking other places out and then always seem to decide on couples because they seem to have so much more to offer .
I think there have been some wonderful answers to this questions. For us, what we decided to do when we wanted to try some place new, we did a split between two Couples resorts. We spent several days at CSS and then went home to CN. It was a wonderful trip.
The only problem now is which one do we choose for our next vacation?
